Celtics Summer of Misery might affect Hawks moving forward...

It's been an eventful summer for Boston basketball.

First they make a run all the way to the NBA Finals, coming up 2 victories short of a championship.
They later have two key players mentioned in trade talks for Kevin Durant.
Lose their starting Center to injury for a few months.
And now suspend their Head Coach a week before Training Camp.

I do wonder what ripple effects all this turmoil might have around the league.

The biggest and most obvious: they are likely looking for a new head coach next summer. Boston is a real contender and would likely be the most attractive head coaching vacancy on the market should it get that far. In Atlanta, we've heard whispers that this is a make or break season for Nate McMillan. If we also dump our coach and are in the market for a new HC next summer, we might have to contend with one of the NBA's glamour franchises potentially stealing our preferred candidate.

A second, less obvious possibility to consider: Jaylen Brown has to be getting exhausted with all the drama surrounding that team. After being dangled in trade talks repeatedly in recent years, now his squad has a no-name interim coach with little experience leading their most important season in years. I can't help but wonder if J Brown might signal his intention to leave as a 2024 free agent because of the circus like atmosphere -- opening the door for ATL to swap him in trade somehow.

My bold prediction(s):

Ime Udoka never coaches in Boston again.
Jaylen Brown gets traded from Boston in the next 15 months.
One of Quin Snyder, Kenny Atkinson or Becky Hammon is named Celtics HC next summer.

I wouldn't even bother with Quin Snyder. He handled then locker room poorly in Utah.
