NBA HAS to generate revenues, especially more TV viewers.

WC doesn't have a revenues problem.

i don't know why people still assume more games = more revenue. NCAA tournament pulls just as many eyes as the NBA playoffs and single game elimination.

in fact, single game elimination will DEF pull more eyes by virtue of it being win or go home. every game is a game 7.

And how does it work for ticket sales?

Potentially 3 or 4 home games for each team vs. 0 or 1 home game in a single elimination?

A Warriors fan of all people should know the Warriors gross over $20 million for each playoffs home game.

supply + demand...less games to sell tickets mean ticket prices will go up accordingly.

Yeah one game isn't going to make up for the revenues of at least 4 games, up to 7 games.

2 playoffs home games just about covers Curry's annual salary.

maybe not, but you'll get a much better and more entertaining product that will be more popular. the revenues will be made up elsewhere pretty easily.

NFL clowns the NBA in revenues and they have 17 regular season games. it's not about quantity, never been.

Who are your favourites to win now?

Glad you're enjoying the thrill of the games!

I think it'll be between Brazil, Spain and France. My gut feeling, for now, I guess it's France. Heart says Brazil, though!

I always root for Brazil, Portugal and Italy (due to heritage, my greatgrandparents came from there nearly a century ago). I've always liked England too, because of their culture, history, etc.

Who are you pulling for, besides USA? And who do you think will win?

Happy for Japan. Likeable team.

Looking at the bracket, barring upsets (which I realize do happen) even if the US manages to get past Netherlands they likely will have to get through Argentina and Portugal just for the right to play somebody like France. Oof.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

France and Spain are in same bracket so they cannot meet in final.

I know, I said the winner will be one of those teams, not that they would meet in the final.

They simply can't, they have to go with the status quo... or else they get labeled and cancelled.

Not a fan of these "purposely tactical losses"

But on one side of the bracket, Spain now starts with Morocco instead of Croatia. It will be either Portugal or Swiss next. Portugal has 6 points, but they have not looked good imho. England or Senegal & France or Poland after that. I am not impressed with England tbh, and I think Senegal poses a legit challenge.

Compare all that on the other side of the bracket, which has Argentina and Brazil. I much rather face Morocco > Portugal > France/England than Croatia > Brazil > Argentina/Holland... any fvkin day.

Losing to Japan could be their wake up game. Because imo, Spain still looks like one of the most talented teams if they can make the right touch-ups.

Wait, the consensus is Germany was knocked out because they are too woke? Lol, you weirdos.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
