Both teams out of balance, mistakes everywhere. Serbians are far too offensive with both Mitrovic and Vlahovic. They can't hold any defensive cohesion whatsoever. On the other side Freuler is handing out presents like its early Christmas.

That's the first step. You're well on your way to becoming a fan of the sport.

Look at a foul Poland game vs Saudi Arabia , it was a penalty, identical foul

Ronaldo's penalty was similar too I think. I think that's ****, I hate the offensive player jumping in front of a guy then collapsing to try and draw the penalty, but if they're going to call it, should be consistent.

All of them 3 penalties from different games , all was soft but you’re right , should be consistent

If you were to ask me which i take and which i whatever at, the Cavanni looked the least in live play however the Nunez during live and review was the most egregious avoidance of a call!

Cavani's foul was the same as Ronaldo, ****, more contact on the actual backleg unlike Ronaldo's was. His missed call was the pent up frustration one over Nunez disgraceful negligiance.

Was talking to a buddy and couldn't confirm the answer, who makes the final call? VAR or the Ref?

Mind you, i personally didn't think the call for Ghana's PK was true. No way near a foul IMO however since you called that, the 1 of or both of the missed calls had to be made since that PK was called.

Not to mentioned other players in the games got it too

Eh, I’m definitely not going to pretend it’s not a huge drop from Europe. You can tell within the first five minutes of a match the huge different in quality. Nor would I ever turn on some random match. But we had a really fun, entertaining team here in Atlanta for a good four or five years that was definitely worth the time/money, including Miguel Almiron who finally seems to have turned the corner in the PL. I’ve definitely spent worse $50 in my life.

My point is , all three penalties was weak , Ronaldo one , Saudis vs Poland and Uruguay, saying this …..

Ref who made todays call saw two previous ones in daily briefings , if the two previous was called a penalty he should’ve been consistent and call a penalty

I think final call is a ref call (NOT VAR) but rules changes so often I’m not sure anymore

Brazil needs to worry about first place. One more goal from Switzerland and a Brazil loss, and we get a Brazil - Portugal matchup

I don't think I've seen more than maybe 2 decent scoring chances vs. Brazil all tournament. Be shocked if they give up a goal.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Look at that lower part of the bracket if that happens. England, France, Spain, Portugal, Brazil all fighting for one place in the finals :D Upper part of the bracket would open up completely. 8-)

You can follow them after you like what you watch in Europe. There is nothing wrong with supporting your local team, and help them grow. There is a lot of progress here, and a lot of potential. There are 36 players from MLS in this world cup, with 27 playing national teams other than US, which puts in the 6th spot. The big 5 leagues in Europe are untouchable and on another level.
