Yurt is not the answer imo. Another G leaguer that although tall is just too slow and inconsistent. Pretty much in the vicinity of Dedmon.
The Heat needs real NBA talent.

Can't expect more than that from a g-league bench.

Butler did nothing. This is a game that people will look at the box score and think he contributed, if you watched the game you know better.

This is why I would trade him in a heart beat for a proven star that brings it night in night out, you cannot bring it on special games and in the playoffs and watch your team struggle with your lackadaisical showings every 2-3 games, wayyyyyyyy too inconsistent for my taste. Unless its a premier matchup its goose egg, and then don't get me started on Bam hes got a serious mental problem, because he literally loses 75 points on his offensive skill points ala nba2k style on some of these games that is mind boggling to me.

Yeah I'm not so hot on Yurt anymore. I can't see how he meshes well with Bam and in that switching defense. Eh...

Bam got locked up. Sent doubles at him and was guarded by a freakishly strong giant.

I think, were capped were at our limit on internal improvements, we've got depth issues and guys hurt and out. Chances are we are exactly what our record says, a below .500 team and thats were we will stay the rest of the season, win a couple, lose a couple never really climbing above water. Guys will continue to get hurt trying to gaurd people with 5-8 inches & 50-75lbs on them.

This team is an embarrassment and Jenkins absolutely coached circles around Spo tonight, it wasn’t even close. Grizzlies offense was crisp, they were running sets and getting solid looks, we were just non stop iso ball. Dribble the air out of the ball and jack up a bad contested shot.

Jenkins game plan was to double Bam and collapse on him when he caught the ball, he saw how dominant this team is when he gets going. Great coaching on his part, Spo had no answer but let’s look at the main culprit for this abysmal loss, the bench:

Dedmon: 0 points on 0-5, -17 in 9 minutes!!! This is literally the difference maker right here, how do you go -17 in 9 MINUTES?! That is actually impressive.

Strus: 5 points on 1-5 shooting, -20 for the game. At least this bum played 23 minutes to get his -20

Gabe: 0 points on 0-2 shooting, -10 in 14 minutes

Highsmith: 6 points on 2-5 shooting, -4. Look at that stat line, it was by far the best we got from our bench. That is abysmal.

Vincent’s replaced when Dipo comes back, then Dipo slides to the 2 when Westbrook comes. Gabe will not see the court from that point on.

Sporon is too stubborn.
His system works against some teams on some nights while draining a year’s worth energy, but in the end it will exhaust them to oblivion.

We followed our best win of the season with our worst loss, by far. Trash ass team. Got big heads when you’re under .500 and got your asses kicked.

Starters should’ve been resting the entire 4th in a blowout win, instead they went the whole way. Can’t way to get destroyed by a sorry ass pistons team tomorrow

Miami at nearly full strength just scored 93 points against mostly backups, that's embarrassing. They don't have the talent to take a night off and still win, they have to execute correctly, and they didn't and are now 2 games under .500 instead of being at .500.

Miami is missing someone to challenge Butler to play with more passion which both Tucker and Crowder did, nobody on this roster is going to do that.

To most the biggest glaring hole on this team is the starting 4 spot, it’s not. Our biggest hole is the backup center, Dedmon was somewhat solid these last couple weeks so we didn’t notice much. This team saw a 26 point swing tonight from Bam to Dedmon minutes. Bam +9, Dedmon -17. How the hell are you -17 in 9 minutes?

First game against Boston we saw a 38 point swing, Bam +20, Dedmon -18 in 8 minutes.

If I went game by game I would find tons of these massive swings.

Caleb has been damn good this season, it’s the just complete collapse of this team when Dedmon ever touches the court that is screwing us. We saved his career, he would’ve never seen another nba roster had we not signed him a couple years ago

Westbrook will be traded and then bought out at some point it looks like. We’re the team that’s being linked to signing him, him and Dipo are boys. It makes sense but we’ll see. Still, Dipo alone should push Gabe to the bench for good

It reminds me of Middle School games lolol. One school has the tall dudes, while the other has the midgets pretending to guard the tall dudes while getting destroyed in the process lol.

This should not happen in the NBA.

Truly encapsulates this team's issue. On our best day we can beat anyone but on our worse days we can lose to anyone (and I mean anyone). Way too inconsistent which is pretty much a continuation from last year's Celtics playoffs taking place in the regular season

And if the argument for Dedmon over Jovic is defense you can save that s*** because when someone is so bad that they can be -18 in 8 minutes, -17 in 9 minutes, etc. they clearly aren’t giving you anything worth a damn. Bring Jovic back asap and stop being so damn stubborn Spo

So I want somebody to answer this for me and I am done for the night, does this loss not look exactly the same as the ones from the beginning of the season? start out looking good, end up getting spanked by the end of the game. Yeah were not getting any better were exactly who we are, just had a good game, like a broken clock its right twice a day.

I doubt the Lakers will trade Westbrook given that they finally seem to have worked out their winning formula with Westbrook coming off the bench.

Return to Miami Heat
