One thing you’ll never be able to teach or train is athleticism. This is why we’ll never be able to solve our problems by diving into the scrap yard.

The reason crap teams and bench players are able to randomly dominate us like this is bc they at least have nba athleticism. They can just impose, beat us off the dribble, out quick us, jump over the top of us, etc. There is a strong drop off in athleticism after Jimmy and Bam on this team, and even Jimmy isn’t some quick, overwhelming high flyer, just super strong. Tyler makes up by having superior skill. The rest of this slow g league team can have all the training they want, they won’t be able to keep up.

Wonder if this is the future with this core. Jimmy out with injury or rest as he ages. Bam and Herro having their flaws. Duncan being untradable for a while and the Heat not being good enough to win routine nights like this against a tanking team

Butler still best player look how good we look when he’s feeling it we can beat Boston but without him playing at a high level we can’t get passed the pistons

It is. No 1 seed in East and ECF finals appearance last season. Finals 3 seasons back.

Yea and then you’re very clearly 1 piece away from a championship and you sit on your hands the entire summer and don’t make a move while losing one of your more important players. The roster construction of this team is terrible and it’s on him and Spo. Bringing in one year 35+ year old journeymen every year isn’t going to cut it

Team is out of sync.

Last season, after the Jimmy/Spo confrontation, it reset the disposition of the team and they went on to play at a much higher level.

Something similar needs t happen, is what i'm saying.

Martin and Dipo are good athletes as well but I agree.

Did we seriously just lose to the Pistons by 20 points at home?

That last game by Jimmy was pathetic, the lack of energy, just going through the motions. If you looked at the box score you would think he had a good game, if you watched it, it was infuriating man. We are just a bad team unfortunately.

He probably wants out.

That call out to Boston before that game where he said something along the lines of being thirsty to beat boston, after a moment of silence "go heat." Lower case as ****. I just saw it earlier today. :o
