Signing Rose to that contract was a bad idea. He can always score but just trash on defense. Same for Fournier. Too many games we lost just by leaving the 3 open.

With Deuce and Grimes, that void is essentially filled. Now you're starting to see why Grimes was a deal breaker in that Mitchell proposal and RJ wasn't.

I'll give credit to thibs for sitting his boys Rose and Fournier in exchange for deuce and Grimes but I'm pretty sure it's because his job was on the line and someone else got involved. Otherwise why the fck took him so long to see the obvious.

Agree Clyde RJ's moving like an old man. His lateral movement is as bad as Fournier. Even average guys are blowing past him. Something's definitely has changed from last year. RJ's wasn't this bad on defense.

Clyde called RJ during the broadcast for allowing the AJ Griffen to right around him like he was a statue.

Clyde says the same exact quotes every game. He is quite often wrong about things that just happened on the court but, his go to quotes still happen. He's not the best announcer ever but, still better than Wally.

RJ leapt out to defend and AJ made the move around him on that play into the paint and no help defense came. The paint was packed at the time. It was not a great play by RJ but multiple defenders were behind him and did nothing in the one replay I saw on that call by Clyde. As usual we pack the paint and someone has to charge the perimeter to defend an open player. AJ saw it coming and adjusted from what I saw.

As for RJ. He looks slower and sloppier than usual tonight. I haven't seen much of the last bunch of games at all. Not sure how he looked in those games. His inconsistent play is aggravating for sure though. I am sure when he has a good game the PG thread will have less traffic.

I saw the play too. You might want to take those rise-colored glasses off and re-watch that play.

What about that offensive yip he had in front of the Knicks bench to start the 2nd Quarter? That’s Shaqtin’ A Fool level basketball.

Thanks for posting the Grimes clips zenzibar. I couldn't watch today. Great to see him coming up. We're gonna win more games with defenders in the lineup. These players will have value.

Grimes has now defended Ja, Booker, Trae, SGA, and Mitchell very well lately.

Doesnt get much tougher than that.

He looks like the real deal on both ends. Not sure how high he can go, but his floor is already pretty high.

Hes just better than our past young guards who showed promise, then fizzled, like Mardy, Douglas, Shump, Fields, THJ, Galloway, Mudiay, Dot, Trier, Burke, Frank, DSJ, IQ, etc.

I don't wear Rose colored glasses. So...no. The replay I saw was court level and RJ runs out to defend him as he moves around him and I saw Randle and Mitch in the paint and a couple of Hawks too. No one reacted and Griffin took the the shot. Like I said...it wasn't a great play by RJ.

Clyde often misses the action that actually happens on the court and makes his go to quotes anyway. He was calling Deuce Grimes all night. He's not always right even if he was on that play. He's quite often wrong and he says the same tired cliches every single game. Not trying to hate on the best Knicks ever but, He's not perfect either.
