Amen Thompson is not a bad prospect either. A lot of options in this draft, not a bad year to tank

I dunno about you guys but after seeing what happened with Chet.... is Vic really worth it IF and this is a BIG IF.. we can get to see him play 3 years after we draft him? Im scared of his frame taking a beating against NBA bodies. I didn't really minded it before but then we all saw what happened with Chet..

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
All of these three look pretty good and they're worth tracking because we don't know where the bulls pick will end up but darn they're small. All are listed between 6'3.75 and 6'5 but they look like they'd get every shot at the rim rejected at NBA level. Maybe they're getting a bit of a friendly measurement from their schools ala Cade?
Anyway, obviously, they could learn to be crafty around the rim but it's a concern.

Chet's not dead. Let's see how he goes next season before we write off Wemby-level prospects based on him.

Let’s add 2 if we don’t get pick 1-2.

San Antonio is tanking hard. 11 games in a row (with a hall of fame coach).

I don't think there's any way we can keep up with them. Almost double our point differential. It's impossible.
I think Detroit and Charlotte will win some games if/when they get some players back from injury. Then 2nd or 3rd depends on Houston.

Orlando is the 4th worst team by scoring difference. And I expect this to actually improve. This is why I believe it is "certain" the Magic win more than 25 games and will land in the 28-wins range as most probable. (This means I am expecting a 39% win rate over he last 56 games).
The Magic is not tanking. The Magic is injured.

His body reminds me of Ralph Sampson and his body broke down.RookieStar wrote:I dunno about you guys but after seeing what happened with Chet.... is Vic really worth it IF and this is a BIG IF.. we can get to see him play 3 years after we draft him? Vic appears to be on a whole other level than Chet aka possible superstar. Chet never appeared to be as good to me.

Last Thursday I was talking to GM Hammond and he told me ....
How does holding Bamba and Okeke make the Magic worse? How do we know that Isaac is capable basketball play? Haven't Suggs, F-Wagner, and Banchero all played through nibbley injuries?
If you want to argue injury-induced tanking, this is more about Managment acquiring players more likely than not to miss time due to injury rather than holding players out.
I think this is a point pepe made in the off-season. Not sure.

well, i made a thread about whether we need new medical staff or new scouts, to stop looking at perennially injured players or players that have body type/whatever that leads to constant injuries.
