Chet's not dead. Let's see how he goes next season before we write off Wemby-level prospects based on him.

So as I wrote in my original post, are we all fine if we get to see our rookie play 3 years after we draft him? That's probably the bes-case scenario with how our org will "toughen" him up for the NBA grind with his body type

Vic appears to be on a whole other level than Chet aka possible superstar. Chet never appeared to be as good to me.

Yes he does.. However, it would have been more a comfort for me if he did it against Euro-league competition compared to this lower level league ( as another Euro-based poster pointed out to me)

However, as we have said, another skill-set we should all look for in a player is AVAILABILITY. I'm just thinking Vic may not have that. Thus Im leaning towards Scoot for now.

Vic is worth every risk out there.

As opposed to Scoot? Well... the draft is still far away..we shall see if their stocks will rise or fall..

BTW, sign Primo... He's very sorry and embarrassed and it will never happen again. Dumb misjudgment.

I don't like the Amen Thompson fit on this team. Good player but would take the ball out of Franz/Banchero's hands and is a terrible shooter, I don't think that will ever change.

Are you sure about that? Would think billion dollar businesses like NBA teams would have psych/shrinks to examine him... oh wait they did..

Hard pass. In middle of legal trouble, with borderline lunatic behavior. And mediocre player.

SG that cant hit 3 ptr's. yep, sounds like a Magic player.

of course he is sorry, its costing him millions of dollars and his agent told him what to say.

did you honestly say zero risk? the Magic PR team and community relations would not agree.

high upside it very debatable. "Looong PG"? 6'4 with 6'5 wingspan, doesnt seem that "loooong". never played PG before, so project at best.

I watched a lot of Primo at Bama. SG was his best position, but he definitely needed to work on his game and maturity. i dont blame him for going if he gets a guaranteed deal, but i didnt believe it would work out. yes, it would be a basement deal, but i dont know about trying this out.

Whitmore is getting plenty of hype after this game. Since he's probably a 3 or 4, he doesn't exactly fit with us but he might end up being the best available at our pick. I like his strength - Whitmore, Paolo, and WCJ would be a bruising threesome.

He is my clear #3, luckily the other “bad” teams are guard heavy, so I could easily see him slip to us if we were to fall to 4-5

i think people should be looking at a variety of prospects because it's not guaranteed where we end up....I think that the tanking for other teams haven't begun yet, when these other teams start experiencing injuries THAT is when the race to the bottom will start....with us getting guys back i'm not sure we're going to be an absolute bottom of the barrel team....so looking at mid-late lottery prospects couldn't hurt, there is talent there....

Plus let us not forget we have the CHI pick which is probably right in that range.

That Bulls pick (top 4 protected) is going to be so juicy.
No way they make the bottom 4 unless by some miracle lottery balls.
They’re currently 9th worst and Lakers are one game below them.
Wizards and Thunder also have a chance to catch them.
This will probably end up between a 7-10 pick!!!

The Magic need guards.
Imo Black will be very high on their draftboard.
