Bunch of good for nothing commies. I find it extremely hilarious when people pick those degenerate ultras and tell everybody what a great hardcore fans they are. Truly a bottom of society.

The fact that you called Zvezda fans "commies" tells me exactly how little you know about the things you're talking about lmao

Back on topic, Zvezda with 6 wins in the last 7 games since Ivanovic was appointed as the head coach. And we just signed Campazzo. We finally have a team that can throw hands with anybody. The season is looking nicer by the day.

Hopefully campazzo does not ruin Vildoza's impact who since he came to the club you could argue is a top 5 mvp player, I think Red Star should have used the money on Campazzo on a wing who can defend and score (e.g like a better Hollins from last season). Holland has been terrible and Lazarovic/Branko are pitbulls but are SG's. Also the coach needs to play Petrusev more if he's engaged with Vildoza/Nedovic Red Star becomes scary (they are 7-1 since Dusko came). Petrusev is finally looking like the solid NBA prospect he should be with his size/talent the last month, I cannot believe how badly the previous coach misused him.

WIth Partizan I think a healthy Avramovic makes them way tougher to beat, he's a 2 way player and imo their best overall player, but the problem with Partizan is they are missing a player who can score and set up others they only have scorers but they have literally lost 2-3 games they had in the bag and should have a similar record to Red Star. It sucks seeing all the talented young Serbian player waste away on the bench of the 2 big clubs as well. Vukcevic/Trifunovic/Balsa should be playing in Mega with Durisic and trying to get a Fiba/Eurocup spot instead of struggling at the bottom or near ABA.

"You don't know things you're talking about lmao"

Ok let's see what their football and basketball team logos actually mean:

https://logos-world.net/crvena-zvezda-logo/

The star, which is mentioned in the football team’s name and is found on all its logos, has symbolized the communist ideology since 1917. The same sign was depicted on the national flag of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Then later on they claim the logo has nothing to do with communism anymore, but the logo is exactly the same communist symbol

Crvena Zvezda is an independent sports brand, and its emblem is a unique sign that has nothing to do with the ideology of Karl Marx and his followers. However, it is completely similar to the logo that was created in 1948.

Basically this is same as moscow CASK, they keep the red star, they claim they have nothing to do with communism but when you look at their fans you see they miss the "good old" days and their team is proud of their shady past, otherwise there would be a complete rebrand.

I do wonder what is going on in Serbia and what is their political climate, because they openly support Russia, and they dont even seen that to be wrong at all. I mean most people have terrible views on one matter or another, but most of the time they understand it is bad and they hide it. Serbs openly even here support Russia, its a shame, I guess they dont broadcast those british mysanctions.com commercials that the rest of Europe throw in our faces every 5 minutes.

Met Ukrainian soldier yesterday, those people rehab over here, spa I work in have tons. I worked for like 6 months with Ukrainian refugee in the same office. I am stray person, so I never got to knew her that well, but she flied with her daughter after her mom was killed in a bombing. Most of us can't even comprehend what happened to those people, their entire lives and homes were destroyed because of warmongering piece of crap. Euroleague is spineless, lets not forget they didnt even ban Russian teams at all at first, but many clubs rioted over that fact.

Back to Euroleague, Zvezda did got screwed, Mirotic made an amazing game tying 3 to send it to overtime, but later it was discovered that he stept on a line. I have no clue how and why Jasikevicius got tossed, what happened, the game momentum wasnt logical to get 2 techs there. I always look at guard play on Jasikevicius teams, because he overcoaches, I dont really believe in this coach as a coach of a favorite, he neutered so many good players. Pangos was his guy, he was incredible. Same can be said about Laprovitola, those elite 3 point shooters just works for him.

Panathinaikos is awful, I really didn't expect them to be this bad. Grigonis has been in and out, I think he has potential to be great, but he always need time on new club, first season almost always a wash. Derrick Williams has been the only guy who looks impressive.

My favorite is Real, I will probably cheer for them in the POs. Stacked likable team. EIther them or Efes, cause screw Ataman hate. Euro media has agenda against Ataman, they still hate coaches who undercoach and worship coaches who overcoach. Thats why they love Jasikevicius and hate Ataman, but just look at Ataman teams, everyone loves being on the court, they are free. And yeah, Ataman goes too far sometimes when he openly just throws his teammates under the buss somehow, but whatever. 2 championships uet everyone still hate the man, we would see what they do when he gets his third.

We can laugh at foreigners when they call ultranationalists "commies", but what you actually expect to hear when they see teams with the names Red Star and Partizan with a dominant red star on their coat of arms which openly support a foreign leader who proclaimed the dissolution of Soviet Union as the biggest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20 century?

The Serbian far-right scene was rigged and controlled in the '90s by the secret police of neo-communist Milosevic anyway, so no big surprise they are easy prey to Russian ex-KGB in this century. There are no other far-right movements in Europe (world?) with the such strong anti-western sentiment, and that support China vs Taiwan, Cuba vs the USA, North vs South Korea... Guys with such bizarre views (far-right nationalists in love with Stalin) are the imposed fan leaders of both Belgrade main teams, with the biggest influence on the choreography and what the stands will chant. Most people don't care too much about it because the vast majority of chants, songs, slogans, banners are dedicated to the club anyway, and then comes the "patriotic" part dedicated to Serbia, but always when they try to send an "international" message it comes out, especially if the sponsor GAZPROM ordered that message.

Big win for Efes against Barcelona, thanks to Micic and Larkin heroics. I feel like Larkin has been completely forgotten man, Efes finally sitting back in PO position. Last season was pretty much the same, started terribly, barely made POs - won Euroleague.

2 Efes players who didnt cut it were snagged by Zalgiris, Polonara and Isaiah Taylor. Hopefully good ones, Efes does have a history to overlook great players, Musa and Petrusev for example.

Taylor was signed to replace Keanan Evans, who suffered an achilles tear. Thats really sad, Evans has been amazing. Despite Mirotic12 telling you otherwise, USA would still easily have best non NBA national team, just look at these players that come and go. I didnt even knew Keanan Evans last year, and now hes been best player on Zalgiris. Like the number of talent that country still produces is just insane, no one can compete with sheer quantity, and S tier quality always been there too.

Panathinaikos end 6 game losing streak, despite Bozie Colton playing out of his mind for Maccabi. what a terrible terrible season overall for PAO, but it was reported that coach and management got green light to spend some serious cash in the market, no additions so far I believe.

Kings waived Chima Moneke receiving heavy interest from several Euroleague teams.

Real Madrid is sole number one seed now, 13 wins, competitive season, second place and tenth place are skewed by 2 wins, few mess ups and you can find yourself out of the top 8. Red Star is crazily still not a top 8 team, they seemed to be hottest team in Europe, but their season start thats now way behind them, has been just that brutal.

I know he's no chance to win MVP but Luka Vildoza is the MVP his impact on Red Star (I think Red Star is like 9-1 when he plays)is 2nd to none in the league, everytime he misses a game the team looks completely lost and rely way to much on Nedovic. Good to see Partizan finally healthy as well once Avramovic comes back to his true form they will be tough for anyone. Efes, Maccabi, Zalgeris, Red Star and Partizan are fighting like crazy for the 7/8 spots.

I'm loving how competitive this season is and the amount of just dog fights great change up from the NBA.

Vildoza is insane. What are they doing to these guys in the NBA, a lot of them come back completely different animals. I can only imagine how Campazzo will look, geez.

Today we had a rumor of Kemba to Milan, but it has been denied. Would have been interesting.

Dzanan Musa is too good for Europe. Still only 23 years old.

Will be very interesting to see if he signs on with an NBA team this summer.

What do you all think?

Tavares back to his DPOY form, meaning Efes is completely trashing Real Madrid by making Tavares '''attempt'' guarding the perimeter. Said this infamously before, but I dont care if you good in one important aspect on d, if you often can be turned into easily the biggest defensive liability, what kind of DPOY are you, dude is no better than Boban, geezez. Mateo lost this game by not going small, Ataman is back with a vengeance.

He is very good, but he is strickly on ball and he is not NBA caliber finsher or shooter over people to have the ball in his hands in the NBA. Just not a great fit, I was a huge believer of him, but I don't know. Look at NBA players and look at this, Vildoza, Campazzo, Shane dominating this game still, handle and creativity makes you a star in Europe still, in the NBA, that doesn't necessarily even make you drafted. Nah man, I dont like Musa's chances unless he becomes very good 3 and d guy who can playmake on an occasion, thats his only way to the NBA.

I think he can be an NBA caliber shooter. He's shooting 45% from 3 this season - even more impressive consider a good % of those shot attempts are off the dribble and/or unassisted.

There's lots of wings in the NBA who are good shooters and only average defensively and not so great at finishing at the rim. You look at guys like Sam Hauser, Joe Harris, Evan Fournier, Max Strus, Keegan Murray, Luke Kennard, Kevin Huerter, Bojan Bogdanovic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Duncan Robinson, Davis Bertans, etc..

I don't see why Musa can't fall into a similar bucket - especially since he can not only shoot (and cut) off ball, but he can also add additional value as a secondary creator.

And at 6'9", Musa is taller than pretty much all of these guys - plus he's still only 23 yrs old so still has room to keep getting better and stronger physically.

It's so funny to me when people say Red Star people are communist because the team name and logo is communist.

It sucks that Red Star did not get Vildoza (and Coach Dusko Ivanovic 16-10 with him coaching) until they were like 1-7 and Campazzo until late Feb they would have been a way more dangerous team as the 8th seed (they are better than everyone except Real/Barca/Olym and tied with Partizan) than anyone and they beat Olympiacous 2-0 during the season easily. Hopefully they keep the 2 Argentinians next season and surround them strickly with domestic players, I think the only big loss they will have from the roster is Petrusev who should get a look in the NBA as a back up/3rd stringer.

Real Madrid has traditionally been a 'sore loser' team when it comes to losing at home in Madrid, but what Llull and especially Yabusele did today was too much even for their standards.
