Nketiah should have so many goals its incredible the amount of chances that Arsenal attackers are able to create. Trossard also had a very good debut.

So are we now saying that if Arsenal don't win the league, it's a failure.

These guys would undoubtedly agree:
At least eight Arsenal fans have been arrested in the Ugandan city of Jinja after celebrating the club's win against Manchester United in the English Premier League.
The fans were wearing the club's red jersey and carrying a symbolic trophy. Police said they didn't have a permit to hold the procession which is a public order offence.
The result gave the Gunners a five-point cushion at the top of the table, giving hope to fans around the world that the club could end its 19-year wait to win the English Premier League.
The Arsenal fans were travelling in a convoy of five vehicles on Monday morning when they were intercepted by police. One of them was carrying a trophy they had bought at a local store.
"I don't know what we have done but we were simply celebrating our victory over rivals Manchester United," Arsenal fan Baker Kasule said.
James Mubi, the regional police boss and a self-declared Arsenal fan, told the BBC he had not reviewed the fans' charges but wondered why they were celebrating when only half of the matches in the season had been played.

Spurs win
We scraped past a newly promoted side, albeit a good one

Probably the most I've laughed at an article in a while. Arsenal fans are something else, man.

The underlined paragraph got me.
There is video of the procession on Twitter if you care to look for it. It is quite amusing.

Arsenal win vs Man U was totally deserved. Not sure why Ten Hag was hesitant making any subs in second half, some of them looked dead tired and team needed some fresh legs - for example why Malacia was not in for Shaw or Dallot for Van Bissaka? Both of them struggled badly at the end of the game and I would have subbed them at 65-70min. He puts Garnacho in only when they are down 2-3? Could be on as well with 15-20min left.

57 points to play for! Top 4 is the goal
Think i'm going to wait for the Feb 15 home game vs City to make my prediction.Right now i'm looking at April and May and we've got Anfield , St James Park , the Etihad , and Chelsea at home. Can we get wins there? For sure but i'm going to need a 9 point gap entering April to not be shaking in fear
I'm hoping City taking the UCL serious and hopefully we find a way to fall out of the EL can give us an advantage.

Looks like Porro is going to be done today or tomorrow, which is a relief, but the team still has big problems and will likely get battered by City.

Good first half from Arsenal. Big chances from Tomiyasu and Trossard will have Arteta pleased with Arsenal's performance as they have been the ones to control most of the match. Holding is having big problems with Haaland's strength though most defenders would struggle against him. Still, he's making me very nervous.

Boring first half. It's got to be better in the second half.

Is there a PL match today?
Are they playing the lineups they'd likely play when they play Feb 15th or are either clubs showing their hand when more important matches lie ahead?

Re: 2022-23 English Premier League Discussion Thread
It was actually a decent performance from Arsenal but our priority ultimately is winning the league and getting back into Europe. I think it goes without saying that the 2 PL games against city will be far more intense than tonight's game. Neither side wanted to play a replay so gg to city.
