Children and casuals... Which is why I don't get worked up over who does and doesn't make the game, it's an agenda serving showpiece that only exists to further growth / love of the game... But to each their own...

He’ll have to be voted in by players and coaches, because the kiddies don’t like that he doesn’t shoot threes.

He’s deserving, but the Heat aren’t deserving of two all stars. Bam or Jimmy, OP. Who do you pick?

They are all pretty close. I would rank them:
1. Siakam
2. Adebayo
3. Randle

Randle is at the bottom mainly since he is the worst of the three on defense, although that's not much of a knock since Siakam and Adebayo are excellent defenders

hahahaha he thinks a 20/10 statline in 2023 is actually impressive.

We have scrubs dropping 60+ nightly, some 2006 double-double aint gonna cut it. remake this thread when he's putting up 35/17/5

I think Bam is pretty close to a lock

Starters - Kyrie, Mitchell, 3 of KD, Giannis, Embiid, Tatum
Reserves - leftover of the big 4, Bam, Siakam, Haliburton, Harden

That leaves 2 wild card spots between Brunson, Randle, Trae Young, Butler, Holiday, Derozan

Or play in a vote-heavy market.

I wrote "vote-heavy" rather than "especially big" because of Andrew Wiggins.

Ahh yes i definitely did. I would move Brown in the lock section and move Harden in contention for the wild card spot

Unfortunately there are real implications if a player makes the ASG or not.

Yes some contracts have clauses and bonuses that include this. So yes it does make a difference.

I think it also depends if Jimmy Butler gets in. Coaches might choose 1 of the 2.

I really think there are 15 dudes clearly deserving of an EC all-star spot I don't think Bam is a lock.

For the players yes, but I agree with iLLmatic, the ASG is just useless otherwise

With the amount of games Butler has missed it seems unlikely the coaches would pick him.

Not necessarily. All star appearances can be worked into a players contract under a bonus structure but they don’t have to be.

As if Heat weren't depleted missing 3 players, one being their best player in butler. Jeez, it's OK dude Siakam should be an allstar too.

Yes Bam had only had 1 good game this year. That s a good take.

Then like I said... compare his averages to the people you think he's better than. We don't need this thread to pop up after 1 really good game against Celtics missing 4 of their top 6/7 players lol.
