Guessing he's saying this based on his experience there. Maybe he's right or maybe he's not. Not a nice thing to say regardless as he should worry about why his team lost instead of throwing a shot at their franchise.

Well, those are actually the most difficult teams to beat because guys are playing for contracts and tend to be in awesome shape. Once they sign the new contracts many just fall off and chill for 2-3 years.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Don’t watch them so I don’t know if it’s true, but this reminded me of one Darko Milicic quote about playing in Minnesota with K.Love. He hated how Love was happier if he scored 30 and lost, then if he scored 10 and the team won (I’m paraphrasing).

They're not trying to pay winning basketball yet still beat you?

Feels like Dinwiddie should be more concerned about the Mavericks.

He's not saying they're horrible, but just pointing out that they're selfish... And he's 100% right. The only thing the Wizards have built is a mess...

This is his 3rd game against them since the trade and lost everyone of them, in the 1st game Mavericks got destroyed, talk is cheap, especially when you crap the bed each time you needed to back it up, take the L and STFU.

I don't disagree. But to throw a comment about a team not playing winning basketball and you still lost to them is pretty telling. Feels like a moment you should shut your mouth and tip your cap to the other team. Figure out a way to beat a team that isn't playing to win.

Wasn't his whole point kind of a criticism of the Mavs though? Yeah, it was really harsh towards Washington, but the bigger point was "We should be better than this and not lose to such teams."

It is embrassing to say so when your team is losing. Let's go back the winning basketball first, Spencer.

Is he just saying they should have paid Brunson? Real strange thing all around. I think everyone knows that the Wiz are that team.

I doubt he's happy with that quote. Seems like a guy who was frustrated by the loss

This is just a continuation from last year when Washington shopped him and someone leaked that he wasn't liked in the Washington locker room. Dinwiddie said some guys were griping that they weren't getting enough shots (Kuzma) and blamed him for that.

He obviously isn't wrong. Washington is Washington with or without Dinwiddie. If you want to get paid without having to deal with the pressure of expectations, I can't think of a better destination than Washington.

Dinwiddie didn't start this, but he needs to let it die. He doesn't benefit from letting it linger.

That’s the point he’s trying to make. He’s trying to say the Mavs can’t let that happen.

Then he should play some defense once in a while.
