“The biggest move we made at the deadline is making Bam the focal point of our offense. Sometimes the biggest improvement you can make is from within. Within. Do you have it within you? Do yo have that spark? You can't start a fire without a spark. Even if we're just dancin' in the dark. And we look forward to Bam sparking our fire and dancing in the dark long into June.”

I like Vanderbilt quite a lot. Needs to continue to improve as a floor spacer, but I’d feel better if it was Kelly and Vandy as a duo.

Not sure what the cost would be. Martin, Dedmon and a FRP?

Lowry / Vincent
Herro / Oladipo
Butler / Strus / Cain
Olynyk / Vanderbilt
Adebayo / Yurtseven

That’s solid. Real solid.

Yes I like that a lot, I still think you add Duncan and another 1st or Jovic for Clarkson, worst case Beasley. We need that extra spark.

Thing about Vandy like you have in your lineup is he may cost a decent amount but he is by no means a starter with this current group. He can soak up all the backup minutes at the 4 and 5 in this scenario though

Vandy would still play plenty. He and KO would essentially split the 48 a night at the 4 and mix and match depending on what the game needs.

Clarkson would be handy, but basically a rental given he’ll be in line for a pay day. Beasley a more realistic add I feel. He’s a quality shooter and capable of igniting, so would fit us nicely.

reading a few sources on Vanderbilt connect today and really not a fan of how he would fit next to Bam combined with how much Utah would want from him.

I think it’ll cost you a 1st and for a bench player that doesn’t add much on the offensive end idk how I feel about that unless he’s part of a bigger deal

I forgot Utah had sexton, we’re definitely interested in him. 24MPG 14-2-3 49% from the field, 40% from 3 on 3 attempts

Agreed. Highsmith is putting up great defensive stats. Def not saying he's Vanderbilt, but I prefer to keep Highsmith and our first than Vandy. We need to use our limited assets for difference makers. Vanderbilt is not that guy.

FVV. Jerami Grant. Those kind of players come to mind. Not KO or Vanderbilt or Crowder or PJ Washington. Do I want them? Yes. For a frp? No. Unless I'm dumping Duncan on them also and freeing up cap to resign Dipo.

If deals for the Jerami Grant and FVV aren't an option you got to ask yourself,

- Does the deal we make, make us a better team this season and help us make a run
- Is the player/s we are receiving better than the player we'd draft with the 22nd or higher pick?

I say we could get a better player than KO, Vanderbilt and Crowder and those guys alone wouldn't move the needle much.

However I think PJ Washington would better than what we get with the 22+pick and would make a significant impact in our lineup. He's not a world changing player but I think his fundamentals and specific skillset would fit in seamlessly not having to do much to acclimate.

Just getting off of work and hearing Leif say the Heat have been in contact with Jazz to get Vanderbilt. That the Heat have discussed many jazz players but they all surround on the idea of getting Vanderbilt. Its shouldn't be a expensibe move but should be an excellent fit. His defense can take the Heat defense to another level similar to how Dipo defense has.

From my understanding Beasley would be the guard that be traded

Fill this roster out with actual talent next to Jimmy and Bam and anything can happen. Those guys are elite on both ends

Beasley gives you what Buddy does except he's a way better athlete and defender, I know the Heat don't need another SG but Beasley is a great get for any team. Vandy/Beasley is enough quality to make Miami a contender if Butler is healthy. Beasley gives the Heat a 4rh consistant scorer to go with Bam/Butler/Herro.

I think people are really underrating Beasley he's a massive upgrade at the 2/3 off the bench or starting.

Buddy is much better than Beasley but he’d be a solid pickup for sure
