Not saying it isnt impressive but scoring is easier today that it was 20-30 years ago. Someone is topping 40 every night. Big reason is the paint is less packed cause teams will often have 5 players on the floor who can shoot 3s or the center on the court is about 215 pounds.

For his 46 points game in a loss,I don't remember the last time LBJ lost a game when he had over 40 points in the regular season

Also, the lakers were trying to make a comeback against the clippers(like they did vs Blazers) and LBJ was hot like crazy in 3 points(career high in make)....very few of his points were in garbage time when the game were over

If he wanted to have 30 PPG every year he could...I mean for 11 years in a row (2011 to 2021) he didn't even have 20 FGA in the regular season...The only reason it's now very high this is because the lakers are bad and if LBJ would be below that, the team would be way worse....LBJ is still very efficient, very few games under 50% for his FG%,so this is not a problem

In context Curry got an obscene amount of publicity for carrying supposedly scrubs to the play ins in 2020.

Reminder he’s 38 and still can get 4 other average/below average starters to the playoffs by himself.

I agree that it's easier; but what Kobe and Kareem did (the other two comparables as it pertains to ATGs playing 20 seasons; we'll ignore Dirk and KG who went 21 I think) in year 20 vs what LeBron's doing in year 20 is not simply explained by how the game is different today. There's far more to it, to LeBron's credit.

The NBA will do just fine after Lebron retires my guy. Just as they have flourished in all other eras. The other thing is that other than Steph, Lebron's era has been devoid of all-time greats other than himself..

Well the NBA is nothing without LeBron James but yes I have several reasons why I believe LeBron is the GOAT:

1. We've never seen anyone 6"9' 250-260 who can run,jump,pass, or think the game like he can.

2. He carried his team to 8 straight Finals with no breaks unlike Michelle Jordan and was the best player on all those rosters.

3. He is going to be the all-time scoring leader and is a pass first player.

4. 20 straight years of superstar play with again no breaks averaging well over 25+ points per game and being expected to compete for the title year after year.

5. He alone is a walking dynasty, 10 Finals in 20 years win or lose he got to the mountaintop.

6. He's just the most entertaining player to watch come playoff time and has carried this albatross of a league for practically 2 decades.

Lebron’s era is much longer than others, so his era is going to seem devoid of other greats. It shouldn’t be held against him that his career was so much longer than than the others

I'm definitely on #TeamLebron #Sof with this one, and I don't even like lebron. The lebron is cooked and only plays for stats, and never tries on defence takes seems decades old, but are probably at least 5 years old. Hell they may have started when he hit 30. People are desperate to bring him down to a low level for some delusional reason.
