What LeBron is doing is simply unbelievable and historically unprecedented.

Ok, so, it's easier to score and produce offense the last couple years. Let's take that into account:

All time, age 38, inflation adjusted/75 possessions stats (Backpicks.com):

--LeBron: PTS: 29.3 (96th percentile), tTS%: +1.1: (59th%), Passer Rating: (97th%), BPM: (97th%)

--Jordan: PTS: 28.1 (98th%), rTS%: -5.2 (7th%), Passer Rating: (90th%), BPM: (62nd%)

--Kareem: PTS: 25.6 (95th%), rTS%: +6.2 (92nd%), Passer Rating: (62nd%), BPM: (96th%)

--Karl Malone: PTS: 24.7 (94th%), rTS%: +1.2 (58th%), Passer Rating: +6.8 (89th%), BPM: (95th%)

--Stockton: PTS: 16.9 (50th%), rTS: +9.2 (98th%), Passer Rating: (98th%), BPM: (96th%)

--Duncan: PTS: 19.2 (68th%), rTS: +2.6 (72nd%), Passer Rating: (85th%), BPM: (95th%)

--Reggie Miller: 15.6 (39th%), rTS: +8.4 (97th%), Passer Rating: (86th%), BPM: (83rd%)

Best slash lines (10+/5+/5+), 20 game span, ages 37-38:

LeBron (last 20 games): 34.3/8.2/7.4
Jordan: 28.3/6.5/5.3
Karl Malone: 24.6/9.9/5.0
Havlicek: 16.6/5.5/5.1
Pippen: 14.2/5.1/5.1
Kidd: 10.6/6.3/8.5

LeBron has 30 straight games with 20+ points. Here are the longest streaks this year:

LeBron: 30
Doncic: 27
Brown: 21
Tatum: 20
Durant: 18

Don't want to interfere with your personal stats stuff, but Kareem was able to win the ring while being the Finals MVP at age 38.
That's unbelievable.

Oh my, he was able to win with Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Byron Scott and Michael Cooper...truly unbelievable stuff. And it was his 16th season. You know who else won the Finals MVP in his 17th season?

Lebron (offensively) is playing amazing. But the lakers may miss the playoffs again. So he’s essentially empty stats guy now. Like Russell Westbrook around 2018-2020.

Lebron is Good for all nba. Probably 2nd team (And yes Russell Westbrook was positive contributor during those triple double years).

But just the team is not good enough and lebron can’t carry a team anymore.

Since AD went down (December 16th), Lakers have been in games and won games mostly because of James.

Lakers before last night were +9 per 100 possessions with James on court, -20 something with him off.

He’s currently in the top five and top 15 of RPM, EPM, and RAPTOR (was in the top 5 of on/off RAPTOR).

So you’re wrong.

Nope, Im dead right. Since he reaggregated Davis' chronic testiculum pain, with his unwillingness to stop jacking up shots and limit himself to a role fitting to his current ability, the same injury thats been plaguing Davis since the Mickey mouse tournament, Lakers have won only two games that wasnt against a bunch of scrubs, one win coming with LBJimmy not playing at all, the other when Schroeder and Westbricke carried em.

Lebron took 29 shots in 32 minutes to score 46, in the 18 point loss against the Clippers.

So I guess what you said about jacking up shots and losing by 20 is spot on.

Not saying its empty stats but Luka is putting up 34/9/9 and the Mavs are one game above .500. Joker last two years pretty much averaging a triple double but first round exit. People dont remember the big time numbers if the team flames out in the first round or misses the playoffs. Dirk didnt put up video game stats for the 2011 championship but he was the best player for the Mavs and was the best player during the finals. Winning is more important than crazy stats.

Not saying it isnt impressive but scoring is easier today that it was 20-30 years ago. Someone is topping 40 every night. Big reason is the paint is less packed cause teams will often have 5 players on the floor who can shoot 3s or the center on the court is about 215 pounds.

For his 46 points game in a loss,I don't remember the last time LBJ lost a game when he had over 40 points in the regular season

Also, the lakers were trying to make a comeback against the clippers(like they did vs Blazers) and LBJ was hot like crazy in 3 points(career high in make)....very few of his points were in garbage time when the game were over

If he wanted to have 30 PPG every year he could...I mean for 11 years in a row (2011 to 2021) he didn't even have 20 FGA in the regular season...The only reason it's now very high this is because the lakers are bad and if LBJ would be below that, the team would be way worse....LBJ is still very efficient, very few games under 50% for his FG%,so this is not a problem

Empty stats? Lakers are an above .500 team with with Lebron and no Davis. Have you seen the list? It’s god awful

Lebron is carrying scrubs at 38 years old.

In context Curry got an obscene amount of publicity for carrying supposedly scrubs to the play ins in 2020.

Reminder he’s 38 and still can get 4 other average/below average starters to the playoffs by himself.

That’s mental to think about

I agree that it's easier; but what Kobe and Kareem did (the other two comparables as it pertains to ATGs playing 20 seasons; we'll ignore Dirk and KG who went 21 I think) in year 20 vs what LeBron's doing in year 20 is not simply explained by how the game is different today. There's far more to it, to LeBron's credit.

You sure it will do just fine? I'm already prepping for going back to being a full-time MLB and NFL fan once LeBron retires. I guess following Victor Wembanyama will be somewhat interesting but once LeBron leaves I see the MLB overtaking the NBA once again.

Lol what world do you live in?? Viewership for the finals last year was the highest in the last 4 years. Not everybody is infacuated with james as you are. Nba was fine after, kareem, magic/bird, jordan, duncan, kobe, etc….retired. Nba will be fine after james retires. It will be a day of mourning for you and nick wright but i think people will still attend/watch the nba lol.

Well the NBA is nothing without LeBron James but yes I have several reasons why I believe LeBron is the GOAT:

1. We've never seen anyone 6"9' 250-260 who can run, jump, pass, or think the game like he can.

2. He carried his team to 8 straight Finals with no breaks unlike Michelle Jordan and was the best player on all those rosters.

3. He is going to be the all-time scoring leader and is a pass first player.

4. 20 straight years of superstar play with again no breaks averaging well over 25+ points per game and being expected to compete for the title year after year.

5. He alone is a walking dynasty, 10 Finals in 20 years win or lose he got to the mountaintop.

6. He's just the most entertaining player to watch come playoff time and has carried this albatross of a league for practically 2 decades.

Lebron’s era is much longer than others, so his era is going to seem devoid of other greats. It shouldn’t be held against him that his career was so much longer than than the others

Duncan Shaq Kobe Curry Giannis Wade Dirk KG CP3 KD

That’s 10 top 30 all time guys who overlapped for multiple years in Lebron’s career

Lebron is on the NBA's Mt. Rushmore no doubt. Michael, Lebron, Russell and I can't decide who else.

I'm definitely on #TeamLebron #Sof with this one, and I don't even like lebron. The lebron is cooked and only plays for stats, and never tries on defence takes seems decades old, but are probably at least 5 years old. Hell they may have started when he hit 30. People are desperate to bring him down to a low level for some delusional reason.
