Mavs are without DONCIC, WOOD and KLEBER

Jazz without Olynyk and PORTER.

If we don't win them (based in Jazz players want to win) is because we are really bad.

They don't have their 2 best scorers, and they don't have Brunson anymore.

Watch out for Spencer Dinwiddie. Playing without Doncic last game, Dinwiddie stepped up to deliver a Doncic-like, performance in the Mavs' win over the Suns. Dinwiddie produced 36 points on 18 FGA, along with 11-14 FTs, 9 ast, 6 rebs and 0 tovs. The Mavs also held the Suns to just 95 points, who were playing with all of their regular starting lineup except for Booker.

Let's see how DNA from the former roster is still in this team. If we lose this one, it's probably a lot.

Dinwiddie is a really good player. Granted I only watch him when he plays the Jazz, but it seems as if he consistently has really good games against them. The Suns aren't very good right now, not sure the comparison for that last Mavs/Suns is worth a lot, but then, if the Jazz stink it up, then...

The DNA of playing down to the level of poorer teams has long been as issue, lets hope Hardy and this newer crop are putting that behind them.

I think the Suns are growing competitive again. They just got most of their starters back, including four of them for the Mavs' game, and they won four games in a row before losing to the Mavs. Cameron Johnson has been shooting lights out in his return to action over four games, averaging 18.3 pts on 75.8 TS% with 54.2% from three. (Jae Crowder should be really offended that he lost his starting job to Cameron. :roll:

The Jazz didn't stop Dinwiddie from having another Doncic-like performance, but the short-handed Mavs didn't have enough firepower to win.

The Jazz started a big frontcourt lineup of Kessler, Olynyk and Markkanen. Seemed to work fine, though Olynyk never got going. Kessler had another outstanding game with 14 pts on 7 fga, 11 rebs and 5 blocks. The Jazz outrebounded the Mavs 49-31 and outscored the Mavs 48 to 28 in the paint.

When the Mavs pulled to within six with about 4 mins left in the game, Markkanen made a layup, then hit a three pointer to stop the Mavs' rally. Conley and Clarkson assisted Markkanen on those buckets. Markkanen had 12 pts on 5 fga in Q4 and 29 total points on 20 fga.
