Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 9
What a **** turn of events tho'.
Virtually all my guys play only 3 games next week, when I get to play that rascal tugs.
And I'll probably not even have Curry.
Literally worst scenario possible.
Hope we have a lot of trades, 90% of this guy's team consists of guys in the right place at the right time. Can't have so many lucky breaks, it's time the world spins around and **** scrubs get put in their place, while their value is rendered useless.
Lots and lots of Thomas Bryant's on that team.

Lol having Thomas Bryant is bad enough considering production is uncertain. Then I got Baz and Williams who all have been in and out of the rotation. And let's not forget those who are basically projects atm Koloko and Fontecchio

You have Jokic and that's it.
Look, I hate Mamba's ass...but that guy has a deep ass team filled with LEGIT talent.
Any trade happening in the league, that guy couldn't give a ****. His guys will still be the same.
So will mine's, Moonie's and KJG's...not yours though.
Thomas Bryant is the prime example of your roster construction. You stole AD's stats for weeks just so he can get 3 mins today, when AD's back.
That guy is a DNP-CD to 15 min guy on any serious team in the league.
Porter Jr would literally start only for the Rockets in the entire league. Any other scenario his value is shot dead.
So is Monte Morris on the Wizards.
Clarkson is a 20 mins a game guy for any team he's traded to. He gets second option touches for the Jazz, that's hilarious.
McCollum and Bridges have literally stolen value all year long, both the Pelicans and Suns have been rammed by injuries.
With healthy teams they're not really close to what they are now.
Rozier I don't even want to mention. That guy wouldn't even start for 2/3 of the teams in the league.
Even Vucevic, Huerter, Bogdanovic and Turner severely benefit from team makeup, all of them would have worse numbers if traded to most NBA teams.
This is what I'm talking about when mentioning you stealing stats. Get it now? And you have the audacity of complaining about Bazley, Koloko and Fontecchio as well..
Get the f out of here with your scrubs.

Lol chill. Those last 3 are projects
And meh, "stealing stats" whatever you call them. And wdym with benefiting from team make up, isn't that supposed to be the case why we make moves and select players? I get your point but stashing sure producers but oft injured wouldn't ensure me of qualifying for the next round
And by then, it'll be the same case of who will be playing for your team, regardless if it'll be a first rounder or within 3 rounds the past couple of weeks

I enjoy your logic of putting certain players in other teams. This whole scenario mapping exercise of yours isn't exclusively applicable to my team only I'm sure you are aware of that. Yours included, granted not for all players

Of course every team benefits from "stealing stats".tugs wrote:I enjoy your logic of putting certain players in other teams. This whole scenario mapping exercise of yours isn't exclusively applicable to my team only I'm sure you are aware of that. Yours included, granted not for all players
Just not on the level you are doing it.

That's the point.
The rest of us in the top 5 have at least 10-12 players who would put up the same stats or better in virtually any scenario, on every team in the league. Traded to another team, teams trade for other players. Doesn't matter.
You have Jokic. That's it.

wow thanks Ro that’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever said about me, I think we’re starting a new chapter
but seriously this is the story of my team almost every year, field a solid roster but come playoff time I’ll have a bunch of red injury designations…it never fails

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 9
Yeah. I mean Gus McRae literally won one year because he dropped most of his longterm players for the Cam Thomas, Edmond Sumner, Jaden Hardy, McKinley Wrights' of the world. And then proceed to quit after the season.
There are a ton of useless scrubs who will see major minutes down the line. tugs has been living all season on the back of those.
It's a sham way to win it but it happens.
Ty also won one with alot of his young guys getting minutes at the right time. But he was heavy at the top so he gets a pass, and he was stashing them anyway.
But the Gus McRare title was blasphemous. He literally won it because of the add/drop policy.

Had this been a standard 9 CAT, I'm sure we'll all have a different approach. Every move basically considers the now and long term. Difficult juggling act tbh
Yep Ty was pretty top heavy then. Comparing mine now I'd say I have 2nd-3rd rounders tops outside of Jokic. All of which are also dependent on availability because unlike RO's team now, mine can't just play one game and produce numbers for the whole week

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 9
I sacrificed this week even tho it pains me. I will have my revenge in the playoffs.
But when you have 3 games out of Kawhi, 3 games JJJ, 3 games Haliburton, 2 games of Lebron and Butler(will miss one each) and no Curry, there's not much you can do.
Conley who has been on fire and who had 4 games got traded and I'll miss 3 games out of him as well.
Everything went wrong at the same time, so I started stashing for the deadline. Thybulle, Drummond, Reid were all deadline adds, if they don't get traded they will be dropped. I saved 2 adds for potential trade winners, thought about Nowell and THT long and hard but I passed. I think I can still do better.
For me Conley being traded is a loss for this week, but a win for the whole season. The Jazz were always going to start the tank at some point, he had shutdown written all over him if he was kept. In Minny he's the starter and they will fight for the playoffs, perfect scenario for me.
And I scored majorly on Zach Collins. Been stashing him all damn year for this exact moment. 30+ minutes starter down the line.
One day left, still hoping for Houston to deal both Gordon and Tate according to the rumors. Eason needs to be freed as well.

I can’t with him yet. He needs to go to a team that doesn’t have so many centers. Goga in Golden State would be ideal.

This Plumlee trade is interesting. Wonder how many minutes he'll get behind Zubac. Also, welcome to Mark Williams land I guess
