Durant will definitely want out.

Or maybe they won't trade him and he'll have gotten yet another midseason vacation.

I like it. Noel’s my guy if he’s healthy and motivated. Hope we grab him via buyout. Just the type of mobile defensive big we need whenever HorfLord sits. I just have no idea how he’s doing now. He’s barely played all season.

Well, it's unknown whether he's trashed any residences recently. In Detroit, how could one tell?

He still moves very quick for a big. Goes hard after rebounds, good instincts as a a shot blocker. Decent job defending perimeter on switches..

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Unless JB said he wasn't staying, which he's given no indication of. Still, I can imagine Brad watches the Tatum-less lineups led by JB struggle and does think about it lol.

This team badly needs a backup wing though, badly. It's just hard to watch them at this point some nights when Tatum has to play 48 minutes to beat bad teams.

My issue with “bringing in new wing to take some of JT’s minutes” is if JB can’t consistently positively impact the the JT-less units (while already paired with Brogdon), how can we expect said wing to?

Joe is hesitant to sit JT cos we kinda suck when he does. I don’t think that changes unless the wing we bring in is KD, Giannis, or Lebron. Taking over Hauser’s minutes is a different matter though. Always good to have another option not named Jackson (useless) or PP (too small and hasn’t shot well either).

I disagree with first part of this analysis. Almost every game, Joe pulls Tatum early when the other team’s starters are still out there. Even if JB led team plays even or loses a little ground against other team’s starters, it’s a huge asset to team to have JT come back in and have the ability go off leading the bench unit against other team’s bench. When we had a reliable wing off the bench - Hauser before Rob came back - the team was rolling. A reliable veteran scorer/wing off the bench would get Tatum rest in regular season games just because there could be larger leads if the bench play wasn’t so ineffective. I agree that this wing needs to be taller so that team can maintain its defensive identity.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

There are too many teams right there with us despite us having some leads in wins/losses. Boston really needs add someone (Big/Wing) that can notch us up a bit. I said at all along, I would be surprised Stevens doesn't do something. (and I don't mean buyout)

about 100 hours to go
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Looking at the numbers, Hauser hasn’t been the issue despite his extended shooting slump. JB + Hauser - JT still has the team outscoring opponents by 15.4 pts per 100 possessions. The specific grouping of JB-Brogdon-GWill without Tatum has been super problematic even if we check the individual five-man lineups. For whatever reason, it hasn’t worked. Significant sample too. In 500+ possessions, they’ve been outscored by 12.6 pts per 100. And it’s not just against opposing starters either as we saw at the start of the 4th vs the Suns scrubs where they got blitzed by double digits.
