Despite a monumental achievement from Lebron, it seems so anti-climatic. No real hype leading to it, no celebrity support and losing the game in the moment doesn't help its cause. Congrat to Lebron i guess.

Agree that you should never say never, but this is one of the safest records in the NBA. LeBron will probably finish with something around 42,000 I would guess. If a player averaged 28.0 ppg for his career (that would be third all-time) he would have to play 1,500 games to reach that (that's the Dirk/Stockton/Malone range).

We would need another Jordan without baseball aspirations and stuff.

I saw something that made me say really? Apparently james Harden is trailing "headband" Lebron by about 100 points.

All time points leader in the nba is starting this season just 1,348 shy of 40,000 career points. Insane number. This will be the countdown for that. Until he gets closer this won't be updated as much as his chase for the all time record was but I'm sure we will have great discussion continuing also. Enjoy.

No but seriously, he can get most minutes played (regular season) if he plays this season and next (with load management also):
