I hate the nets for being so damn dysfunctional. I think kyrie to dallas will be a disaster chemistry wise and the suns will they even be healthy? I bet not. They also have no bench.

Suns adding Durant and Nets getting basically the Gobert return plus Bridges/Johnson.
Well at least we destroyed the trade market with that deal.

The interesting part of the Durant trade for us is that now the Nets have unprotected '23, 25 27 and 29 Suns 1sts and a '28 swap.
And we have Karl Anthony Towns.

Suns window will end when Durant retires now. He's '34 and 7 feet tall. How many years does he have left?

PHO, LAL, LAC, GSW, POR are also built for win now. I hope we can steadily develop Ant, MCD, Minott, Moore because I would not put my money on old West teams after this season.

I kinda disagree about the Lakers. With this trade they are building towards next year and not this year. They may make the play in as an 8, 9 or 10 seed, but this trade for them was done to open a lot of cap room for next year to pair with James and Davis. Even if they go 17-10 they only finish 42-40. That should probably be good enough to make it for them, as it looks like the Jazz are tanking...the Lakers also have 15 home games remaining.

The problem the Wolves have is that they have played so many home games already and only have 10 more remaining. Too many loses to bad teams have put them into a hole for avoiding the play in games. I think getting KAT back, especially if it is soon, is a bigger boost for us than what the Lakers got will be for them. We will see what happens with the Suns and Mavs, but I suspect they will both move up the standings as the year ends. Thankfully basketball isn't won on the stat sheet, but on the court.

I wouldn't trade Prince unless the deal was too good to be true. That won't happen. I have a hunch they re-sign Naz now that they have more cap room. Mid level? i like Bones but Denver gave up on him which is concerning. Is he just a wild chucker?

i loved NAW in the Culver draft but he's shot poorly most of his pro career. This year has been an exception. He's in his 4th year so now is the time fo him to step up. Will he?

We're a better team with Conley. I think we did about as well as we could all things considered.

What's TC's track record with trades since he's been a GM in the league? While the jury is still out for me with his trades in MN, it seems like trades are not necessarily a strength of his.

It's like MN has an under the table agreement with Ainge or something. The KG deal, Rudy deal, now this. This not a knock on Mike Conley, MN has a history of trading for older/aging vets at the wrong time (I understand our hands were tied with the Dlo situation). Watching Ant in last night's game felt like he was letting some frustration out.

I feel like TC could fool around and mess up the relationship with Ant because he thinks Rudy is the best player in the league and is building around him. Hopefully it works out.

The KD deal does seem like it could open things up for a Towns/Rudy trade in the offseason though unless Bkn goes full tank mode.

I think we need to keep Naz for this year, unless we know KAT is coming back. We're not going to get a FRP for him so might as well keep him. I would trade him straight up for Bones though even though he's terrible on defense.

I sure wouldn't trade Reid for Bones, but Nowell is now very expendable and he isn't going to stay anyways. I might do that I guess or something larger with Prince.

My biggest fear right now is that with Towns injured and DLo gone, Nowell is our second best shot creator. That’s not ideal. If Bones came cheaply, I’d take a chance on him. I wouldn’t trade Reid with Towns/Gobert missing games though.

Wolves held on to him for months in the hopes he could be salary filler. I'm guessing this means there is no pending deal that he could be attached to.

Yeah, Bryn Forbes getting waived indicates that another major Minnesota trade is unlikely. Still possible, but Minnesota might just roll with what they have.
