Many said the same about my Nets when Kevin was here( you guys broke him and broke Kyrie together); Phoenix is a worse team than the 20-21 Nets. Booker/CP3 are chokers. Nonetheless, I just don't want that cancer Irving to succeed in Dallas. He really hurt our image league wide and made it worse in the presser. A healthy Boston team locked in on defense has enough to beat a fragile and old Phoenix team.

Yeah and many people said it was going to be a disaster because of Irving. Your boy Prov who continually posted non-stop that the only reason why Irving wasn't happy in Boston was because he didn't want to be there and it would be different in Brooklyn.

Regardless this is what you get when you get in bed with Irving.

I still think Phoenix is going to be incredibly difficult to beat.

I think we learned a valuable lesson and it is humbling but swallowing pride is important. That punk Prok is no longer even on the boards and had ridiculous takes. I just pray for Kyrie to never win again. The smartest thing the Nets did was send them out West where everyone could Duke it out and rip each other apart. The fun part is Lakers have to deal with the Suns and Suns have to deal with Mavs and all vice versa.

this has been a HORRIFIC Trading Deadline for the Celtics...

The Suns vault up to become the Number One Title Contender.
And buy outs will flock to them, which could change whom may be available for the Cs.

Most hated foe, The Lake Show with a steal of a deal, dumping the guy they didn't want, and acquiring
three quality players. The pick they gave up will either be neutered by signing Free Agents,
them being good or the usual NBA Draft shenanigans, to move the Lakers up into a Top 4 spot.

The Knicks with a nice, solid acquisition of a player, who could have helped the Cs.

And the Raptors heisting the Center, whom should have been the Celts top Bigman priority.

What's next, the Warriors getting OG?

I expect them to do something, now that the WC landscape has undergone a major upheaval.
Same goes for Denver, perhaps the Clips... and there's still Milwaukee and Cleveland in the East, who may
make major deals, reacting to the Suns move and the Nets implosion.

So, it's all on Brad to do something significant...

People really overstate what's going on in Phoenix. Yes, they added a great player in KD to go alongside Booker, but CP3 is not the same guy as even 2 years ago. Names are sexy as hell, but I don't think they beat GSW or maybe Denver. Bridges was a big piece for them. Plus that defense is horrific.

Do they vault over Boston and Milwaukee? Not in my opinion. Those two teams are still the clear favorites. Get a good backup wing or backup center and lets roll.

Suns have NO defense at all (IMO)
Will booker like being a number 2 option?
Suns have limited depth
Suns have injury concerns
Nuggets are a BAD matchup for the suns. (Gordon on Durant, Brown on Booker) (Paul and Ayton need to try and contain Murray and Jokic...not gonna happen)

I honestly believe that if a matchup between Denver and Suns happen...if both teams healthy...Denver wins in 6 tops, probably 5

What was that comp to us. Like Smart, Grant and four first rounders?

If so that would have been enticing lololol.

Mikal similar Smart, and Cam a fair amount better than Grant. For us, considering we are within division, I’d guess it would have costed Jaylen+another good player+a few picks. I’d have done it, but I get why the Celtics didn’t want to give up a lot more on top of Jaylen.

#7 will be moved this summer for a high quality big.

I don’t mind if he takes his championship ring with him.

I can see Embiid wanting out this offseason.

Smart/Pritchard
White/Brogdon
Tatum/Hauser
??/Grant
Embiid/Horford

I feel sorrier for Stephen Silas.

EDIT: There might even be a sense of relief with the Nets staff. While they won’t win ****, they now have players that can play for each other and won’t cause drama. Simmons aside.

What the hell happened to Prok? I heard someone from your board exposed him for being a fraud. Was he lying about having a biracial kid?

That’s a steal for Phoenix. Got an all time great without giving up a single all star level talent. At least the West has got tougher and won’t just be a cake walk like last season.

Based on what dude? Give me a break. One thing still holds true. The suns are still a lousy defensive team. Celtics need to add another wing player.

KD is a good defender but who is going to outscore them? Paul, booker and KD on the same team is going to make for a tough team to beat

I have Tatum as better than Durant
I have Brown as better than Booker

And our depth is far superior to theirs

Tatum: 30.9ppg
Brown: 27ppg
Brogdon: 14.5ppg

Durant: 29.7
Booker: 26.8
Paul: 13.6

and our offense is just as good.

This is a valid point.

Look at the Celtics in the Playoffs last season, they struggled against Milwaukee and Miami
and ultimately lost to the Warriors because of their offensive droughts. Fine defense, but couldn't
hack it offensively.

Suns will have no issues with that and may be able to grab some defenders/depth via Ring Chasers/Buyout
to help mitigate against their weaknesses.

The NBA landscape has been significantly altered and Mr. Stevens needs to react accordingly...

I absolutely loved the win last night and Hauser was great. I also hated losing to Phoenix with no Booker and Durant not there yet. I would still look to improve at wing and big man.

Brogdon has improved the offense dramatically

Add to that the improvements from JB and JT.

A Pritchard and a 2nd rounder for Cam Johnson fixes things for both teams

I think the Celtics are going to make moves, but they could do absolutely nothing and still be the favorites imo

Return to Boston Celtics
