Criminal that he’s not. Micky should give him shares for what he forfeited in salary. Imagine how much Bank they made during the big 3 era in ticket sales and merch alone.

Big FU to Arison man sorry, lowkey cost us Bron (Mike miller, luxury tax) and the GOAT who put this team on the map in the first place. There are obviously far worse owners but this franchise owes everything to Wade and Riley and should've/should be kissing their ass, accommodating them at every turn.

I'm still peeved seeing Wade wearing a Utah shirt and the fact that he had to leave Miami in the first place because management decided to prioritize signing Hassan f'n Whiteside. Honestly, I got a lil queasy seeing Wade in that K love/Wade Cavs pic.

/end mini rant.

I saw him shooting 3's in a Jazz shirt....it just didn't feel right. I didn't catch what he said. Any context to that?

I believe Wade left Miami cause Pat was not prioritizing him and was making a run at KD, not Hassan. For the KD sweepstakes, it was a bit long because he had meetings everyday with teams he was interested in. We were Durant's last meeting. In order to create max space that year for Durant though, we would have to renounce Wade's cap hold. Pat was basically asking Wade to take the minimum/MLE if Durant joined

Yes I agree he wanted to feel wanted and prioritized and for good reason. I think it was all part of it not just Hassan but that was one of the things. Wade watched Bosh get a max, Whiteside get a max, and then the Heat go after Durant. They took him for granted, with an offer like 10M lol. And this after he opted out of the last 2 years of his big deal the summer Lebron left in order to take less than max again to try and keep him.

Look at Bam recruiting Dame. This league would be a better place with Dame in Miami trying to get his first ring alongside Bam and Jimmy

Bosh got his deal the year before. Wade took a 1 yr deal 20 mill so Bosh could get paid and expecting a bigger deal the following year. However that one yr deal killed Wade bird rights. When free agency started Wade was expected to be wooed and taken care of first. Riley thought Wade understood the situation and didn't needed any recruiting tactics. They were all drunk on the boat when free agency started and got mad that the Heat didn't call and treat them as priority. Not thinking Wade was going anywhere. Heat wanted to add Durant so they spent their focus on wooing Durant. Then Whiteside demanded the Heat to match Dallas offer or he was leaving. Heat offered Wade 20 mill per yr not 10. That 10 mill was twitter myth from fans. Wade felt disrespected and then searched for 25 mill per and got it from Chicago.

That 20 mill was disrespectful to Wade because he only took 20 mill the yr before as a discount to help keep Bosh and add Deng.

No way both Strus and Duncan fall out of the playoff rotation. Duncan is expected because he is already out of it, but Strus will be in it regardless.

I can never have any gripes with Riley, he's the Don but soured a bit on Arison lately. Remember:

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2014/09/30/mike-miller-points-to-him-being-amnestied-as-start-of-lebron-james-leaving-miami/

Back then I saw little of this rumor and viewed it as an excuse for Bron leaving because he couldn't control the Heat like he could in Cleveland AND the fact that Wade's knees were detoriating and he'd have him a fresh young superstar team in CLE. Which is obviously is/was a huge part of it, although over the past 10 years there has been a bit of fire to explain all the smoke coming out in regards to the all time scoring leader leaving.
Now we hear Wade wanting a minority stake with the team he called home for a decade and a half but unable to have it and is now representing the Jazz of all teams. :sour:

It is what it is, people have been calling Riley washed all over other social media platforms. However, like I said I personally could never disrespect Riles, he was the one that ignited the engine of the Heat. Arison on the other hand, the jury is still out.

Regardless of the Love addition if he pans our or not, I think it's fair to say :

The front office needs a shake up.

We did a bad job surrounding Bam and Jimmy with reliable, 2 way players.

Lowry and Robinson were given awful contracts
Herro might become overpaid soon,
None of the projects really established as a true starter,
Didn't sell assets at the right time to gain future options/flexibility.

This all roster is a mess of a patch work, and the latest moves make it seem like we let go of the smallball rope, which make you wonder WTH were we doing all this time.

We need a new fresh vision for this team going forward, anything and everyone besides Jimmy and Bam should be on the table. (Including all the assistant coaches and the decision makers in the front office)

Cats were so desperate for a signing they're excited over a 34yo Kevin Love lol
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I'm not mad at the FO, generally. They wanted to take some swings but either missed or were too conservative with their offers. Can't win every fight and we wouldn't have Bam/Jimmy/Herro without them. Still have some faith in them

Surely they will send Jovic to the G League for the rest of the season now.

Return to Miami Heat
