That's why we should have had McDaniels in to guard him but of course Doc is gonna Doc lol.

Do you really believe that? I'm not sure about it. I think they'd beat us handily in a series.

Crazy ass ending - if only Melton was taller and Embiid was a few ticks sooner on that circus shot....

If anything, this shows we can hang with them. I am feeling postive.

Wow. Tatum is clutch. They are going to be the team to beat. We will see them in the finals. I think we can beat the Bucks

I thought the defense was good. Its just what it is in the NBA. Good offense always beat good defense.

Good game for the Celts. I thought it was nice showing for both teams.

We need to fix this defense with Al as a stretch 5 and we also need to fix the offense of our bench.

Still a lot of good stuff, PJ is showing why we sign him and Tobias was great on both ends. Team is showing a lot of fight in them

The bench needs to step up, especially Niang and Maxey.

You hope that someone on the Celtics is banged up by the time we play them. I guess they could also get hurt earlier and then you would want them round 2.

Seriously. I just wanted to see the team fight and they did. I'm excited to see what this team looks like after they get battle tested before the playoffs. Compared to teams like Celtics & Bucks, we really haven't played together long

I'm a big doc critic but he was fine here, team was more organized in the first half but the defense looks a lot better. He even draw a good ATO on the final play getting the Brown switch on Joel.

The Melton decision at the end is what is, the only criticism i have is going for the same bench line up on the 4th after they got destroyed on the first half.

That wasn’t a bad loss. It sucks that Embiid shot didn’t count. That was amazing. We played hard. That glaring weakness of missing a starting wing is evident.

The only hope is that Embiid is still Embiid. Other than that not looking too good.

The Sixers can hang with them and lose in the end. In their most recent game they were depleted and Tatum scored only 12 points and the Sixers were beaten convincingly. Tonight you had the expected game between them when both teams are at full strength -- a hard-fought one in which Boston's elite players win it in the end.

That's what happened tonight, and that's what'll happen in the playoffs. This team won't win in Boston, and it'll have trouble winning at home just like it did tonight. If they can get by the Bucks they'll lose 4-2 to Boston. They don't have the mettle to win in Boston, and they don't have the players to beat them consistently at home.

That was a statement game by Boston in a weekend night game everybody was watching -- we're better than you, and we'll beat you on your own floor.

No chance against this team. Going nowhere once again. Laughable to count this as a moral victory considering the history here.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
