If NAW was a sniper like Beasley with this defensive intensity, he'd still be in New Orleans.

His defensive intensity reminds me of Okogie and Vando. His shot is still a work in progress, but it looks quick and repeatable.

Honestly, he has had some passes that made me say "whoa" out loud, the accuracy on his passing is surprising to me...but on the flip side, he has had some dumb turnovers, but I give him a pass because he's still the new guy

Also, this would never happen, but should we bring KAT off the bench when he comes back and just let him go to work against second units until he gets his legs back?

Yes to KAT off bench.

It’s weird but it just has to be the setup right now. It’s going too well to interrupt.

The Kings shot about as well as they ever will in a game and only turned the ball over 6 times. It's impressive that without KAT the Wolves beat a full-strength Sacramento team that was on fire. Beating a full-strength Clippers team and now the Kings has been the most impressive stretch of the season.

It's amazing the amount of guys that have no business hitting shots, make those shots on us. Trey Lyles, Kessler Edwards. Guess it evens out that Barnes and Murray didn't shoot it well.

Conley and NAW have settled this club down and reduced turnovers show it.

The Conley trade was a steal and it made the Rudy trade better.

It looks like we are turning the corner as a team. 3 wins in a row on the road are big.

me too. Ainge figures that ‘27 LAL 1st > ‘23 MN 1st.
Mike was quietly having a great season in Utah. He helped ruin Ainge’s tank plan for VW.

for Minny:

1. dump DNo - check
2. add a starting pg who works well w Rudy - check
3. add a backup pg - check
4. add a point guard who can shoot 3s & play D - check
4. add an vet leader at trade deadline - check
5. extend pg salary slot a year - check
6. draft pick compensation - check

The Mike/Rudy combo could pay dividends this year. Still will be hard getting past the first round. The West is so deep. They may need one of KD, Kawhi or Murray to pull a hammy the last week of the season.

I couldn't watch the game tonight. I watched the highlights and wow. I couldn't believe I was seeing the same team. They looked so sleek tonight.

I really hope we can make this a regular thing.

And three second round picks. The Lakers wanted that DLO salary space for next year so they can get someone good...and that isn't DLO. They also ended up getting out of Westbrooks contract.I think they will go after Kyrie and if they get Conley in the trade they wouldn't have had the space. Even with their schedule I don't think the Lakers will make the play-in game. LBJ will be out almost all of March and if a few of those other teams step up 39-43 won't make it. They did the trade to try and compete for the title next year...not this year.

How would that even work? A double sign and trade where another team wants DLo on a $35M/yr multi year contract. Seems like a gamble, but probably more likely than someone wanting Westbrook on a similar deal.

Great game by the Wolves! Effort was great. Ball movement was very good. Shooting was very good. Fun to watch!

Great win..I was following live scores and I thought we might choke the lead in 4th quarter as Kings are one of the best 4th qtr teams. Glad to be wrong

I feel like lot of Naz's defensive issues are due to his off-ball defense...he makes lot of bad decisions like unnecessarily doubling a player and leaving someone wide open in the process...if he can clean this up a bit, he really can become a solid player

The thing I've noticed with Naz is that he's always moving at top speed which leads to him being out of position at times. However, I do tend to believe he gets a bad whistle as well. A lot of calls are either ticky-tack or no calls for the other teams (Similar to JMcD).

With that said, while he competes defensively, he's simply overmatched against the taller, stronger bigs in the league. I can live with him competing on defense as long as he's still giving max effort and playing within himself on offense.

I don't t think Conely is the long term solution, I think he was just a means to see what the team looks like with a pass first, savvy PG, I am sure we will be looking to replace him with a younger PG we can build around but Conely could be a key player for a couple of seasons.

If KAT and Gobert can fit, we have solid window, like 3-5 years. I

Yes to both.

If you considers me haters just because I am critical I'd say that I have more life than the forum and my mind don't change for one or two wins or losses, the Wolves have played more than 60 games, enough for a reasoned opinión.

Westbrook was an expiring contact. They actually will have less capspace because of the trade.

You’re both right. The Lakers wanted to maintain the chance to create a ton of cap space (presumably for Kyrie Irving), but they also wanted to give LeBron a chance to get to the playoffs this year (and maintain their rep of helping big stars to get free agents to come), and that meant moving Westbrook.

Maybe DLo (and Vando, Beasley) work, maybe he doesn’t, but this gives them a chance this year, and two options next.

Don't count the Lakers out. They are tie for 10 already.
