I just think posters fundamentally do not know how coaching works in the NBA, good or bad. In a vacuum, coaches are going to make bad decisions every game. It's up to them to adjust and mitigate any damage. It is incredibly easy to sit back and say you would do x, x and x without any sort of clue about the inner workings of the team, rotation, role, what the FO wants, what players feel comfortable doing, etc.
Coaches aren't icing their own players or calling plays to try to hurt their own players. When other players get hot and don't score much in the second half, it's not Billups not wanting Lillard to continue for 60 ppg, it's not Kerr icing Klay, it's not whoever icing whoever. Banchero got pulled after 12 minutes because that's a lot of minutes straight. People get tired.
And players usually know their optimal minutes per game, where Banchero feels comfortable around 34. Giannis averages what Banchero ended with tonight at 32, Jokic 3.. Nick Nurse and Thibs burn out all of their players even if they get huge numbers.
