Miami getting trashed by the Bulls after Chicago had 2OT game last night. I guess they really do suck.

Jokic almost got a triple double.... in a loss to the Knicks.

Saltics choke it away in Utah! We’re the #2 seed now!

Aren't we still a half game back?

EDIT: Sorry, I just saw a Keith Pompey tweet that had (unsurprisingly) wrong information. You are correct.

That’s a brutal loss too. I thought for sure Jazz were going to tank the game. Just shows teams jockeying around the playin seeds view playoffs as more important.

Fultz has a lot of that dwade type of game to get into the mid range and get off his own shot.

Glad he’s doing well. Still only 24. 25 this summer. And fully recovered from acl injury. Still no 3 point shot. But free throws are excellent now even low volume. That’s what you want to see in young players. Improvement

We never saw Simmons improve in any offensive categories like free throw percentage or anything.

He’s been money on his mid range. But his shooting motion is still bad when he extends it to the 3pt arc.

Back then when ACL was something to be scared with, there was a study on how players improved their shooting when they go down with ACL because they can spend a lot of time practicing. I think that happened with Fultz. That setback allowed him to have this comeback.

Just dont let him drive to the paint. Live with his jumpers.

Celtics should have honestly fouled Kessler in some regard on every defensive possession at the end. Dude is a massive liability at the line. Instead they gave up easy layups.

Yeah our part of extending our 0-3 record against Celtics this season to 0-4.

I think the loss of their coach is rearing its head. And it’s not pretty. People love to point out Doc as not being able to lead a team when it counts. Yet they prop up Celtics as favorites of the two overlooking the fact they have a rookie coach leading the way. Doc has a chip under his belt and has been a head coach for 23 years.

The Celtics have our number but they're really going back to the issues they had before turning it around last year.

Smart is playing stupid again and taking bad shots left and right, Grant Williams is in and out of the rotation and Timelord cannot stay on the floor.

Playing Smart over White in crunch time is a bad decision by their coach, but i guess Smart is like their Draymond and the team feels more comfortable with him out there.

Kessler is shooting 54% on FT this season. Thats higher points per possession compared to Tatum’s ISO, Tatum’s mid range and Tatum’s crunch time numbers.

I think part of Celts struggle is teams aren’t sending much help to Tatum (who’s been struggling lately) and just rely to let him cook. Altho Jazz has been sending help this game because they’re running with Olynyk-Markkanen-Kessler, who all three can rotate to the paint.

While during the early part of the season, you get to see teams sending help and it lead to a collective attack of Celts scorers. Where Celts depth and 3pt shooting gives defense a hard time to contain.

Teams treating Hot and cold shooting plays a big part with this and changes game to game.

Celts and Sixers offense in crunch time has some similarities.

Sixers generates 2 man game at elbow.
Celts generates 2 man game above the break.

The spacing from above the break 3 man game generates more gravity, usually help defenders (specially bigs) like to sag towards the strong side. This is where Celts would kick it to guys like Al (bigs like to gravitate towards the strong side) or Marcus Smart and let them attack close outs like how we do with Tobias or Maxey.

The big difference IMO is our 2 man game and ISO game are way better than Celts. And we dont need to rely on Maxey or Tobias to bail out our top 2 guys, on most actions. While Celts need Smart and Al to bail their 2 man games way more often than ours and it is because Tatum can’t score as efficiently as Harden (1.13 on ISO) or Embiid (1.00 on ISO).

And just like that 538’s player forecast has us 2nd best chance to win finals at 19%. With 28% to win finals based on Elo forecast.
