A win in Utah tonight and we'll have beaten every NBA team at least once. Last time the Celtics did that was 2008.

Haven't seen the whole Interview, yet. It's about 48 mins long.
But, I did see our Current Squad Leaders talking about getting back to the Finals.

Really, Crystal Clear stuff.
A lot of Respect there, too.

UPDATE: Make that 39-1 lol. We were due. 51st percentile offensive rating vs the Rockets. Just a hair above the league average.

UPDATE: Now 40-2. Really had a good offensive game against Utah despite what people think of Tatum’s “struggles” (I thought he masterfully ran the offense without Smart.) It was rebounding that did us in both times.

11-7 since All-Star Break. Only two games where our top 8 were all available. Three were OT losses. Another two losing on a game-tying/winning basket. This is obviously spin cycle mode but if you asked the players what the primary reason for our second half surge last season was — it was health. We just haven’t been healthy all season. Although JT’s shooting efficiency post-ASB is beginning to concern me too. Love the playmaking bump but we also need him to be a reliable, consistent scorer. And Joe’s coaching in the postseason is a wildcard for me.

Tatum needs to sit for a couple of games, same with Smart at this point. What happens after the season is up in the air. But they'll probably be some changes coming. Lets see what this team can do healthy.

Jakob Poeltl would look awfully good in green right about now. Too bad we didn’t have the balls and/or the foresight to pull that trigger. I mean, it’s not like we’ve ever had injury issues before, especially with an Ironman like Timelord. Good job FO!

We are 7-6 after the break man.

Bringing this up in here as well. But why not take a flyer on Dwight Howard. Worst case = he does nothing.. Best case he provides a nice lift on defense and rebounding.

Blake is a dinosaur on defense. Kornet is not a playoff caliper center. Muscala is a pick and pop big man. Grant is to short. RW can not be counted on. Al is good but Not true interior presence and/or rebounder.

Lack of rebounding is a huge problem. Not many other choices out there. and we have a roster spot. Why not try to use it?
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Celtics need to learn from their mistakes fast and correct them...before the playoff. It's unacceptable to jack up 3's while you're leading by 15+ points; they need to have the killer (destroy the enemy) instinct. They need to find a way to come back when they're down, like most of the time when we are down by 10 and can't figure a way to come back...it's pathetic for a highly praised team. Joe is good, but he won't last in the organization if he can't adjust to the situation. What the hell is the love for 3's with this team? It's good weapon, but players need to use their brain to know when shoot 3's and when not to shoot them. That's why I prefer high IQ players than highly skilled, but no brain players.

For those tracking the "first 30ppg season in c's history" storyline.

Tatum's PPG has fallen to 29.97, he's 2 total points shy of averaging exactly 30 on the season.

He's averaged 27.3 ppg over his last 20 games. So he'll need to boost mark that the final ten games to hit the 30ppg mark.

Two single basket losses on the road against bad teams. Two overtime losses at home against good teams. One 28 point blown lead in a loss.

Even the wins have seemed hollow. Up 9 with 6 minutes left against the wolves and hold on to win by 2. Up 16 with 3 minutes left against the Cavs and win by 4. Up 10 with 6.5 minutes left against the 76ers and win by three.

So basically, the c's are losing a bunch of clutch time games, and the "clutch" game they have won are because they were up big entering clutch time and barely hung on (so technically "clutch" wins, but looked very bad).

They are actually pretty good overall in the clutch this year, but it's been bad recently.

Sounds about right. I don’t care to rewatch but when Jazz sent early hard traps/doubles, he carved them up. We still had a bit of success against the zone. The soft traps and single coverage were what caught him second guessing and made our offense stagnant. Still ended up with 77th percentile in ORtg, 22 threes, low turnover count, and a ton of assists.

Double digits run have been trending way up leaguewide since the three point revolution has been underway. The reason why should be fairly obvious (hint when you shoot threes you need to score a lot less baskets to go on a big run) and to somewhat suggest that is a Celtic specific problem is ludicrous.

Also I liked the suggestion that when the Celtics get up 15+ points they should suddenly abandon the strategy that got them the lead in the first place to run suboptimal offense instead.

Blame bisme. Now we only have one chance left to win the title. Be there on March 31!

They jack up 3's...missed 99% of it....next thing you know the opponent is leading. They could've been blowing opponents if they get rid of their love for 3's. This is a talented team, but with a dumb sense of mind.

It has nothing to do with having the balls lol.

It takes 2 teams to make a trade. We can't force a team to trade a player to us. It doesn't work that way.

Spurs chose to make a deal with the Raptors. Spurs got a better offer from the raptors. Spurs received a 2024 1st round pick. We already traded our 2023 1st round pick for Brogdon. We're not allowed to trade our 2024 1st round pick till this summer.

Not to mention, that the raptors picks are more valuable than ours since they're much lower than us in the standings and likely will be for the next few years, at least.

And it's not really ideal to trade 1st round picks (plus additional assets) for a role player on an expiring contract.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
