¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I still want a top 2 pick to go with him and Franz though

Yeah, I'm greedy... but we're so close

I'll tell you one thing, I'll take our current situation over the Pistons and Rockets.

No. They are the smart ones. Anyone who things a meaningless game in April is worth more than the extra lottery chances is very very slow. Once again the Magic do not have the stomach for the tank and its going to hurt us for the next decade.

They have more a a stomach for it than us, and they will be rewarded. Meanwhile Alex Martins and his team of grease monkeys are still thinking a win in April will get more season tickets sold for next season. Backwards organisation.

Until they get Wemby and Scoot, and we get the 10th pick.

I love the winning. This will carry over to next year because we finally have a team direction. I’m so freakin proud of these guys. I tuned into the 4th quarter and just basked in the beautiful defensive tenacity.

We'll see. Nothing is guaranteed. I'd prefer us landing Wemby than them but we'll have to wait and see how it all works out.

I remember being so jealous/sad we didn't get Cade in 2021 and instead got a poor shooting guard with no handles with some random white dude from Michigan...lmao now I'm like wow lucky us!!! Then you add Paolo this year, it's crazy how good he's been since day one and i swear we're all taking him for granted.

It wont carry over. People wont even remember this game in October. It feels nice now but anyone with half a brain can see this is our last real chance to swoop up draft equity before we move up the standings. Could have set ourselves up for a decade with a Wemby or a Scoot, now we are looking at Gradey Dick.

Disappointed that our front office still cannot see the bigger picture. Gutless organisation who goes wherever the wind blows them.

I don't even subscribe to the theory that late season success carries over to the next season. I don't think it does.

I just don't care about how these late season wins impact the tank. The odds are so much flatter than they were that it just doesn't bother me that much.

We can simply see we will also leap ahead of Indy and Washington before long. From seemingly having a lock on the 5th worst record and a 42% change at a top 4 pick, we will now likely be 8th worst with a 25% chance.

But YAYYYY we beat Washington in April right? :banghead:

42% vs 25% chance at jumping up is what we are looking at. Thats a lot.

You're exaggerating this a little bit.

The Magic were 5th worst for about 2 months. They had zero chance to finish in the bottom 4 by roughly Christmas time.

Right now they're 6th worst. They may very well stay 6th worst.

That drop from 5th to 6th worst is 4.9% for the top 4. It's 1.5% and 1.3% for the 1st and 2nd picks.

A little perspective, right?

The whining about winning games right now it's tiring especially since the odds have changed with the way the lottery is done now.

That's if they fall all the way down to 8th, which may not even happen.

Return to Orlando Magic
