Dead serious. After 07 D whistle was excellent but Jimmy now is better.

Before 07 wade was a top 3 tier sg. Then he bulked up.

Lol no.
Wade: 3 chips, 1 FMVP, 1 scoring leader, 8 time All NBA, All rookie team, 3 time defensive team All NBA, 23, 165 points, 4933 rebounds, 5701 assists, 1620 steal , 885 blocks, top 75 all time, 1st ballot hall of famer

Butler: in your scenario he wins 1 chip and FMVP, 4 time All NBA(never 1st team), 5 times defensive all NBA, Most improved, 136888 points, 4033 rebounds, 3176 assists, 1244 steals, 344 blocks

Nowadays the last thing you saw is the best thing lol I'm sorry but that is one the most ridiculous takes I've seen here. This is not close. Butler needs more than chip for this to be a conversation. He needs atleast 2 for this to even be a conversation. Lebron was the best player in the Heatles run. But Wade was a top 10 player and we don't win those 2 without him. And if Lebron just plays like an average player in year 1, Wade has 2 FMVPs

Good metrics. Luckily Wade had stacked teams and teammates like Shaq, LeBron, Bosh, etc to ease the burden.

But yeah those metrics are better.

Butler is killing em though.

Have a lot of respect for Zo but Jimmy in 4 years already led this team to a finals berth and an ECF appearance with playoff-clutch moments. I love Zo, but Jimmy already eclipsed him in my book.

and sorry it's Pat Riley that legitimized this franchise along with Wade in the early 00's

Jimmy would have never sniffed the Finals, and probably not even any ECF's, if his dad Michael Jordan was still running the Eastern conference today.

Zo will always be my favorite HEAT player.

Well, that's your opinion and I can't fault you for that.

If Haslem is your favorite Heat of all time, I got no problem either. The best Heat players of all time are subjective

Cool, don't guard him. One things for certain, he's lightyears ahead of Duncan on the defensive end.

Luckily for Miami, if someone had to get hurt, Herro is the most replaceable of its "stars". There simply is no replacing Butler or Bam. Miami can still get excellent production from the 2-guard position between Strus, Oladipo, and Robinson.

Miami ended up shooting the lights out in Game 1: 60% on both 2s and 3s and Butler had a monster game.

I'm worried about game 2.. Milwaukee is gonna come out motivated. There's no way they let us 2-0 them at their home court right??

Outside of Jimmy still being a monster, the best thing about this game was Bam’s second half. I’m not going to apologize for holding him to a higher standard than he’s shown the past few games. I’m very happy to see him step up when we needed someone. That middy is there for him, he needs to step into it confidently. Lopez is a foot off him - keep taking it. It’s his shot.

Without Herro around Bam has no excuse to not step up. No one else has any business taking up those shot attempts.

We need the Bam that we saw in the beginning of the season for these playoffs, we lost a 20pt scorer and clutch shooter off the dribble in tight sets in Herro. Bam cannot be passive, needs to take those wide open midrange shots they keep giving him, and if he makes them and they play him tight, he can take advantage of his speed. Jimmy will break down for a couple games usually has 1-2 stinkers in a long series and by stinkers I mean a 10-15 point game.

Losing Herro’s shot making and clutch ability is a big blow tbh. We have guard depth, so that’s something, but we don’t have a ton of on ball creativity and Herro has been the best of our distance shooters this season.

Need someone of Gabe/Strus/Love/Martin/Dipo/Duncan to step up and hit some shots.

It's going to be Dipo season around here in a bit

I expect Spo to rework the rotation and have him logging some serious minutes in the absence of Herro. They may role with Robinson in Game 2 but if that does not go well, expect to see Dipo in that spot moving forward for the rest of the series

I guess the Herro injury can be considered a little flukey. But, it doesn't sit right with me that the guy who is known to be physically frail and limited ends up injured in back to back playoffs. I don't think it's just coincidence.

I hope he heals up and gets right.
