as for the choices theirself: choose always BPA.

if you see two guys with more potential than others,go for them, even if that means taking more bust-risks.

Draft for Need, not what you think is BPA. BPA is about opinion and usually burns us where we get players taking minutes from each other and stunting their development.

We obviously are lacking a shoot guard and a defensive minded Center. I'm OK with Point Guard as I think Cole Anthony, Suggs, and Fultz - we are covered well.

Its hard to draft for need when we are split 50/50 about what our needs are. You say sg and center and i think point guard and another wing/forward.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I really hope we can get Jett with this pick

I think hes going to rise and be a top 10 pick, but if he doesnt, would love to see us get him

Well: it's definitely one of those five positions!

A pure shooter from a blue blood P5 school that runs around the court and can make shoots with just a little space? Also let's not forget incredible defensive instincts except for the limitations on.body( too thin vs short arms). Also deceptively atheltic.

Hmmmmm.... wanna include skin color?

I personally would hate that pick with a passion. Such a heavy-footed, undynamic player. Calling him Jett was something of a misnomer.

If we draft one of the Cam,Walker, hendricks guys with our Pick, I think 11 is the perfect sport to grab a shooter

Dick, hawkins or Podziemski (which I like a lot but he is ranked much lower on most Expert's board)

I think Hawkins will be better than dick

Hawkins has a longer Wingspan and will/should be a better defender at the next level

Hawkins just needs to put on a bit of weight and he ll be lethal

He has a mix of Rip hamilton, JJ redick, jamal crawford

I think his handle is underrated and he is good enough to create for himself

Great BBIQ ,lightning-quick release and the stamina to run around the floor all game, i think he could be the perfect fit next to our forwards

AND he wouldn't struggle on defense like Dick will
Suggs, AB, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, TDS , Jett
Franz, TDS, Panda
P5, JI, Panda, Moe
Wcj, Goga, Moe

you do not draft for need in lottery, after won under 50% games and with the average age of our players.
you draft looking for the most potential player, someone who can add more"star-power"in 2-3 years, regardeless how he fits now.
(then you can think there is not a guy with super skills there and would be perfectly fair)

but,for example,if you think hendricks is the better player at #8 ,the guy who could reach the highest level after a pair of years, you pick him and who cares if will play the same role as banchero.

Modern basketball can handle way more than two forwards on the court.

You mean during the pre-game layup lines …or Nick Nurse’s lineups that got him fired?

What is this "modern basketball" nonsense I keep seeing? Did someone rewrite the rules of basketball without me noticing?

When you trot out four or five forwards onto the court, and they can't guard most of the opposing players due to basic physical mismatches, what are you going to do? Pray their defensive liabilities are worse than yours?

I noticed that Wendell seems to always be guarding the PG in our defensive scheme. They just run a 1 and 5 pick and roll to switch the defenders.

Modern basketball? You mean like the 1 5'11 PG and 4 6'8 F Raps that were desperate for a real C to rim protect? Thus burning away a FRP this year just to get eliminiated cuz too little too late?

Its nice to think that our 6'10 Franz play the 2guard spot until the quick guards of the league just burn through him.

Reminds me of the critism of Doncic before his draft

If you compare Bufkin to Howard, his stats are better in every category. He's also a few days younger than Howard.

When do quick guards burnt through him?

Less often than when Franz burnt through them

Franz at SG is a huge mismatch, guards can't stop him and his defense on them is more than average
