This is probably the best I’ve felt about the Sixers heading into round 2. We have a talented group, plenty of shooting, and a quality back up C. Now it’s up to Embiid/Harden who, frankly, I don’t have a ton of confidence in. But now there are no excuses, we will win or lose the series based on whether our stars are good enough.

Except we do not know Embiid's injury status.

Did Doc just say Biid only has 50% chance of playing the sec round? Is that smoke or? If not, we are cooked.

Philly has a whole 7 days off….. he clearly finished the game 3 playing on the bruised knee….. if it was the finals he’d a been playing. Unless we was up 3-0. Embid is good to go and he damn sure gone be good after 7 days of rest.

No reason to break this one down, just win baby. Having Tobi is so much of a luxury, people keep on trying to make us into a big three as other teams have had in the past. But really we are big 4, and whichever one is needed for that game is gravy.

Just wondering what's up with Harden at the rim, that's one thing that is very irritating to me. I know he isn't as athletic anymore, but these are point blank shots.

I think he has no lift in his last step which is still way better than last season when he could not get past defenders at all. He's been getting past defenders pretty easily but can not finish..I do not think he's going to drastically improve that without a full summer.

its timing. He is either rushing it or delaying it in order to get fouled.

Didn’t get to watch the full game. Reed has blossomed though. I guess that’s the best news gleaned today along with Tobias playing well. Our only hope is Embiid getting healthy. Seems Harden can’t finish his drives but his playmaking is still elite. Maybe a week off will help him too.

I think James Hardens scoring would be more potent if he wasn't running the pg and offense. He's a scorer as a shooting guard. The more Maxey becomes a better 1 on1 player the more harden will be comfortable scoring as he use too or half as good.

Maxey is not that guy there is no reason to try and shoehorn him into that role.

What we needed and still need is a secondary ballhandler behind Harden so he can rest. We need Maxey to be used optimally to make our run and that is an off-the-ball shooter who can carry the ball up the court and put pressure on defences in regards to fast breaks and transition but as soon as the defence gets set the ball needs to be in Harden hands.

He is really the only guy on offense who is capable of breaking down defenses. For me, one of my concerns is I didn't want to be in this situation I wanted a pure pg off the bench who could score a bit (like a healthy Rubio) or at the very least someone who could do it as well as Maxey while still allowing us to use Maxey how he functions best.

This.

It was a physical series. Harden was getting fouled .... Sometimes. But, hopefully the time off does him well. He also needs to take me midrange shots.

Great series from Tobi, in his 2nd series of deserving the name Playoff T

Seems to me his 3s off ISO is still good. Specially when he does it on the right wing.

Not happy with a first round sweep, the 76ers fans take to the message boards and start attacking each other.

Finally Reed get's some serious playing time. I just knew Doc was going to start Trez. Imagine if Doc had actually let Reed play all season long! Other teams will be looking at Reed and offer him more than 2 million a season. As they should and the 76ers will match as they should.

Harden come on man. Yes you pass the ball so so well. You make everyone better with your passing skills but you need to finish at the rim.

Melton excellent game and good signing.

I hope the team is able to rest and get ready for the Celtics in the next round.

you got to appreciate how we have prepared our guys this season and the depth of this team.

This team can just shift gears.

This team believes it can erase 10-20pt deficits after halftime.

This team does not get rattled in crunch time and most times even craves for close games.

This team does not get rattled when teams doubles. Hell, we even want them to do it ALWAYS.

The depth is just different. I tried to watch our Heat series recently. There’s no Korkmaz, Thybulle, one legged Niang or DeAndre Jordan. The guys are very professional, except maybe for McDaniels who seems lost out there but his teammates have been putting him in a position to succeed. But I think he’s figure it out soon.

I know the Nets are MID and who knows what can happen in the future games or series.

But we have to just give this team their flowers.

Just finished watching the game on the DVR - just a great team win, everyone contributed but Tobias was fantastic tonight, especially that 3 point play that iced the game. Maxey was very good when we needed it and Melton came up absolutely huge in the 4th quarter. Major shout out to B-Ball, who gets the game ball as far as I'm concerned with his play on both ends tonight.

Great to finish this thing off now and have a week to cool out before the Celtics. Now, as to Joel .................................

Completely agree. I've been lobbying for a legit backup PG since last summer, it's been a hole in the roster all season that is a mystery why Morey never looked to fill it.

I really wish Harden would go more often with that little step back he does when penetrating. It seems to be money most of the time, and is definitely more effective than when he's trying to finish at the rim.

Harden will be our version of Chris Paul but younger, or he can move on. So many factors resting on what happens after this playoff run.

If we were playing And 1 Streetball rules, we would have blown them out this game. So many crossovers and ankle breakers. Little disappointed there wasn’t one off the heezy though.
