We need at least one more from the Hawks because the East is completely up for grabs with the Bucks struggling against Miami.

No he wasn't. He played Kawhi to a standstill in 2019.

No he did not. I don't know what series you was watching, kawhi was baking Jimmy

This is one of the greatest playoff performances I've ever seen. It's top five for me. Holy crap Butler was amazing!

I still remember when people in denial were talking about how letting him go was fine and Horford was a good pickup. And Sixers fans on social media mocking Butler and piling on any Sixers fans who were outraged the Sixers let this happen. That was really the straw that broke the camel’s back with my fandom honestly. Since then it has never recovered. I just haven’t had the same interest in watching this team ever since.

And if the Sixers never win a title with Embiid or never get out of the second round, it’s hard to be that upset about it because the Sixers deserve every ounce of heartbreak they get. They’re such a horribly run organization that made a mountain of mistakes and squandered numerous assets over the years. None of this is bad luck or by accident.

If I remember right, sixers had this weird situation where Ben was bringing the ball up a lot during the regular season and then they had Jimmy do it in the playoffs. I think Jimmy brought that up on that interview with JJ. Basically there was a lot of uncertainty on what everyone’s roles were and Jimmy probably didn’t want to step on people’s toes.

Nah, you guys easily win if Embiid shows up in that series.

we lost that series on a generational shot. Its not really anyones fault (well Brett/Elton for the lack of back up center but I digress)

Kawhi played an all-time great series against us, not only with how utterly awesome he was (35/10/4 on 63.4% TS) but also given how bad everyone else in the series was on both teams. He scored so much and so well taking nothing but tough shots.

Butler was still really good, though, and man is it crushing to think of how he could team up with Embiid and a coherently built roster.

The series wasn’t anyone’s fault though I do still blame Embiid for moping around in game 4 because he didn’t feel well. Big loser energy in that game.

But they do deserve blame for choosing Simmons and Brett Brown over Butler.

The Sixers are such a detestable franchise that is almost impossible to root for. Letting Butler go. Letting Bridges go. I hate them from top to bottom.

Jimmy giving an unsolicited Embiid shoutout to put salt in the wounds of Sixers fans, lol.

Truly an all-timer, what a joy to watch. Playoff Jimmy is a terrifying player.

Brutal luck for the Bucks tho. Heat no-show in the play-in to lead to this matchup & Giannis goes down in game 1. I legitimately feel bad for their fans.

Eh, was pretty much just the Brown/Brand years and like 4 blunders, really don't think you can call any recent period before or after 'a horribly run organization.' It was an inexplicable decision at the time not to run it back in 2019 for a team that was built really nicely and had a lot of room to grow (and that the team had just given up a ton to build). And they still had some assets left too.

The Fultz trade, the Zhaire Smith debacle, the Tobias trade+max, not re-signing Butler and instead getting Horford. All happened in 12 months, and all of them sealed our fate. And almost no GMs in the league would've made more than one of those mistakes.

Oh please, we'd still be tragic with Jimmy Butler here. Look what team you're talking about.
