Ok go get a real head coach now, Finch belongs as an assistant.

Well, Connelly has his work cut out for him this offseason. I imagine they'll run it back with the roster as is for the most part. Probably will lose Naz though.

Sucks they lost. But they fought to the end. Regroup and get healthy over the offseason, shore up the bench, work on that chemistry and they'll be a hard team to beat next season

I don't think we win the series. I do think the team and coaching staff got WAY better as the series went on. We were absolute trash to start but we figured some things out along the way.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

My sentiments exactly. I think we got a great team.

I really wish we could have seen a full-strength Wolves team against the full-strength Nuggets. Add Jaden and Naz and I'd give the Wolves a decent chance.

Run back basically the same team, use our exception on a backup guard.

We can't know for sure. You're guessing we still don't win and I'm guessing we do. Regardless there is a lot to like about our Wolves.

Re: Game 5 - Nuggets vs Timberwolves
Denver did not play well at all in this game, couldn't buy an outside shot in the 1st half, and the only thing that kept them in the game was our offensive ineptitude, excessive fouling, and inability to box out.
We should have had a 20 point lead at halftime as bad as Denver was playing.
The two bigs is disastrous on offense and one of them needs to go.
SInce KAT fits much better with Ant, that's got to be Gobert.
Trade him for a couple of better fitting pieces and whatever draft capital you can muster.
Have to hand it to the guys they played hard, the smarter team won tonight.

Re-signing Naz and NAW has got to be priority number 1 this offseason. Finding an upgrade for backup PG is the other primary objective.

At least we had a good showing. Fought hard. I'm proud of them for that. The officials were horrible as usual.
Kat and Ant had great nights all said and done.
Playing without your #4,#5, and #6 guy in your lineup was just too much to expect against a deep first place team. Malone is a great coach. His game adjustments are really good too.

Yah no they need to improve the bench and improve coaching, they are gonna middle if they bring back Finch.

NAW seems like a more realistic option to me. Some team will throw very good money at Naz. Not sure we can tie up all our money on the Center position.

Re: Game 5 - Nuggets vs Timberwolves
Just want to say, Ant might be my favourite young star in the league today, you guys genuinely have a superstar on your hands, with the right roster around him the teams ceiling is through the roof. Despite the loss, this was a great showcase of the talent you guys have on this team.

Signed with team T.W.O for the 2022-23 2023-24 2024-25 season.

Re: Game 5 - Nuggets vs Timberwolves
Running it back is only going to waste another year of Ant's development and possibly 3 or 4 if one or both of KAT/Gobert become untradeable next year because of their huge contracts.
I put it at 50/50 Gobert is not a negative contract summer of '24 going into his age 32 season.

Re: Game 5 - Nuggets vs Timberwolves
Next preseason the Wolves need to spend a massive amount of time on rebounding drills. They desperately need to learn how to box out, keep between their guy and the basket, and go hard after the ball.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
