Khris n Giannis are both underdogs n have been together since the very start. When we won, Giannis looked at Khris and said ''Khris We Did It''. Khris leaving will be hard on Giannis.
In reference to our title winning year

Whatever we do, we have to be very careful with the rebuild. I’m not sure how much leeway this organization has. I’m more worried about the Bucks leaving Milwaukee after this Giannis era than anything else. We have to somehow stay good enough to keep Giannis happy for the next few years. It’s going to be really really tough.

We can discuss how we got here, but that's not really my intention. Imo, we have these options:

  • Run it back
Get a new coach, maybe make smaller changes around the edges but run it back.
  • Retool on the fly
Make more significant roster changes. Everyone sans Giannis on the table.
  • Get out of the tax, wait for better times
In the 2024 off-season we'll have access to two FRPs, multiple swaps. Lopez (and possibly Middleton) expire.
  • Rebuild/Reshape
See what we can get for Giannis. For a potential rebuild there's two teams I'm calling: OKC and whoever gets the #1 pick. For a reshape, maybe you call Dallas (Doncic).

No **** chance that this is the time to entertain Giannis calls.

Jrue/Midds/Portis/Beauchamp/Allen/'29 1st should be enough to work with to undergo a meaningful retool, with Middleton being an obviously complex situation.

If Middleton opts in and GS loses early they’d take that expiring for Wiggins imo. They’re tired of being in lux tax hell
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

The more I think about it, I just have a hard time believing that they’re going to fire Bud, even though it has to happen.

He’s probably one of the best coaches in terms of win-loss record over the last decade. One of the most successful in Bucks history. His assistants are highly desired around the league. It’s extremely difficult to get the number 1 seed in 3 out of 5 seasons. It obviously takes a lot of skill and involves building a sustainable winning culture and managing player health and happiness.

How can he be so good at that stuff but so bad at actual basketball coaching in the playoffs? It blows my mind. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.

You are overthinking it. Bud is toast. Edens will mandate it.

Jrue has shattered all of the trust I ever had in him. And he took no ownership postgame.

Maybe a move on the fringes gets you a more traditional PG, but not seeing that avenue. Portis+ for Tyus, maybe? Or Portis for McConnell+.

At this point, I think I'd rather just see what the market looks like for Jrue. He failed. Epically. I can't go back, it's done.

We swept Miami 2 years ago and I remember back then we all thought Miami should rebuild. I was at their forum and they all wanted to fire Spolstra and rebuild. And then 2 years after that basically same Miami team destroyed us 4-1.

Just a little something to think about. We may all be hot in heads right now. Bud needs to go and we need PG. But 3 of our big 4 will most likely still play for Bucks next year. Giannis and Jrue are almost 100% 2 of them.

I only want 4 people is the entire organization to return; Giannis, Pat, Wes Matthews, and Marques Johnson. Everyone else can go.

Still like a Middleton for PG or Kawhi swap and just hope they aren't injured at the wrong time. Both of those guys are clutch and can create their own shots. If Lue gets fired that would be the first sign that this trade is available.

But if the last 25 years have taught me anything... Middleton will get a 4/5 year contract, Brook resigned and we make some dumb little moves that change nothing. Bud will only get fired if social media pressure doesn't let up. The curse of Kohl lives on.

You never, ever entertain trading Giannis. Let’s not even go there.

I think a new head coach and trying to bring in some younger role guys could be enough. We shouldn’t just dump Midds or Jrue for nothing. We should def be doing our due diligence with values and what could be out there for us.

Absolute collapse. Two games up double digits in 4th and they go stone cold. Offense looked lost and didn't run a **** play outside of hero ball mamba mentality that entire 4th quarter. I have been a Bud guy, but the team looked shook and tuned his ass out. He has to go.

There's nothing to think about. PJ Tucker was the head coach 2 years ago. The other 4 years, it was Bud.

I think Jrue has a good trade value, there are many teams with scoring first, bad defenders point guards. Why not pair them with a good defensive guard. Middleton is a bit tricky because it should be a sign and trade

Bobby Portis has a reasonable contract so he has value, Allen too

Marjon is the only young guy of value but I would prefer to keep him and establish him in the rotation

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
