These dudes think too much. They don’t play free. It wasn’t this bad before but it’s really showing in these playoffs. Look at Jimmy butler having fun out there and closing games. Our guys look like it’s life or death in the clutch. No one wanting the big moment to win the game which stars need to do. Look what Steph curry did game 7 against the kings taking 38 shots. Jaylen brown taking 10 shots is pathetic.

Didn’t care then don’t care now…time and time again throughout the years he’s made timely plays and it covers multiple coaching regimes.

Yup, let's coach on what a guy's done "throughout the years" and ignore recent stats. There should be no "automatic" here or "he's earned it" junk. Smart is not the same on defense this season, and he's just not good on offensive possessions in a game's final seconds.

Even with his below DPOY defense, I'd still have him out there on the defensive end. Just not on the offensive side. If the game dictates it with no stoppage that's one thing, but it's another thing when you have him out there after a Timeout, and a whole other level if the play called involves him.

The Celtics have a style, which is clearly driven by the coach, but lack poise and direction at the end of close games. We often underestimate our opposition (the fans do too).

Interestingly though, we respond well to adversity. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Growing pains are the occasional miscommunication, bad play call or bad coverage. What’s terrifying about Mazzulla is he legitimately has no idea what’s going on at any time, even in retrospect because the same things keep happening.

I honestly think he just tries to mime Brad and Udoka without having a super great understanding of why certain things do or don’t work. Also has to be one of the worst motivators we’ve ever had.

I hate to say this, and I TRULY hope I'm wrong. But I believe we will never win a championship with Smart as the starting point guard. Too many dumb decisions, too many times trying to make a high lite play, and too much flopping or fake hustle plays. I'm not saying he needs to go, but he would be better coming off the bench, but if we could get good value, I would move him. Also, what I mean by fake hustle plays, is diving on the floor when you have no chance at the ball or flopping on a drive trying to draw a foul and putting the team in a 4 on 5 disadvantage on the defensive end. He can be a truly great defensive player, but he needs to make great plays to make up for the bonehead ones. I mean he had as many turnovers as the entire sixer team tonight and his defense on Harden was nowhere near where it should have been.
