Quite a few long 2/3's who can shoot it in the late lotto ...Dick, Hawkins, Sensibaugh, Howard, Whitehead. Good looking draft for us if we keep that CHI pick.

I'm open to dealing it if The Magic can get a few future firsts that have a chance to be late lottery in future years.

I think they should look at all options.

I'd give #11 to Miami for Duncan & 2 future picks

***EDIT*** Nevermind, he's 29yo and apparently sucks now.

How about both picks, a guard or 2 for Herro instead

good edit...Herro would be a great fit, IMO. Why is it so hard to find these guys? Mindset AND Skillset.

I'd give up OUR pick (#6), DEN 25 frp and Fultz or Cole for Herro. I still think Suggs has tremendous upside and leadership qualities.

I really want that CHI pick...there will be a shooter or two there.

Yep...we maybe, possibly, potentially...find our Herro at #11 (Dick, Hawkins, Sensibaugh...) but I make the trade in a heartbeat for a guy who's already shown he can do it in the NBA (even with a lot higher salary). I don't know that Herro's available, but that's an easy yes for me. A similar (maybe better shooter), but slightly less proven creator, who might be available for #11 is Simons...But Herro would be a great add.

If the goal is to move out of rebuilding and start pushing for the playoffs we need to build more of a veteran presence. We need shooting off the bench, forward depth and a backup 5. I really don’t think this front office will bring in two more rookies unless they really really love them. I want to attempt to prep people for this because people freak out with how we handle second rounders I think people will lose it if we trade a lottery pick

Edit: the front office could go for a more Grizzlies model of rebuild and not worry about the veterans yet. If we use both picks I think we would need to let Harris go especially if one or two are guards or wings. Backup big needs to be resolved though we need a bigger taller guy who can help rebound.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Unless we get a top 3 pick we really should trade both picks away. This is not the year to get any younger or any more inexperienced players on this team. We’ve tanked long enough now it’s time to make a complete push into the playoffs. Veterans in a trade or future picks is what I would like to receive this draft. And make a small splash in FA and I’d call it an off-season for us.

There is a lot to gain from trading out of the draft. Either the picks are part of a package that brings in an ace SG, or the Magic punt. Orlando will nee rookies in about 2026. Trading the picks to, for example Golden St., fits the Magic's time-line.

Both picks for Moses Moody, the 2025/26 Warriors FRP (top-4 protected), and rights to pick swap in 2026/27 (top-4 protected). That is the sort of deal that helps Orlando sustain what is already being developed.

I could tlak myself into drafting and keeping one rookie but i 100% don't see where would two lottery picks get PT from.

Given this thread's title, is it the #11 you would recommend to trade?

I do too. I just don't see Miami forking him over however to us. I think Miami will try and get Lillard. Now I think that might get interesting. We could possible help facilitate a trade with draft picks to Portland as they blow it up and we get Herro? Lillard and Butler would be scray but both are entering the back nine of their careers while Orlando's core would all be in their early to mid 20s. Once Miami ages out we should beat them regularly.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...
