Doc has to identify that Brogdon/Grant/White are not iso players so do not follow the ballhandler on the two wings. You end up losing your defensive structure. But that happens on every team, wrong identification on the actual threat.
Because Tucker cannot stay in front of Brown and can’t put a hand up on Tatum it’s better to go with Reed. Reed has the best motor on our team so he has the ability to move around and potentially mess with wing/ and high low action.
Look at the Celtics/Lakers even with bloody DLO/Schroder they do a better job of making it more difficult to get clean shots.
It’s right in front of you Doc.
if its G7 and Biid is healthy, the right answer is Tucker on Al. Then have Biid and Tobi defend their duo. Then Reed and McDaniels defend their duo off the bench. Thats what warriors did

If Embiid is playing 35+ minutes we could run them together for 10-15 and Reed/Tucker as a backup the rest.
I don't necessarily have an opinion if we should try them together right now when we haven't done it before (probably don't think it would work out) but the minutes are likely there.

Why wouldn’t it work. It allows Embiid to camp or push-up with less worries about getting backdoored or driven without adequate defensive pressure.
We literally had Maxey as the side help on drives lol.
Reed can patrol to his hearts content, and has by the far the best motor on our team.
For how bad and flawed Ben was and is he was by far our best player at controlling spot fires inside or out.
I see no reason why Reed couldn’t do that role. Harris and Tucker are getting opened up like a can of worms because one doesn’t rebound and has height issues and both are no where near quick enough to keep Brown stifled.
I just posted a video of how disturbing the defensive strategy was. Can’t believe this happened in the playoffs of all things.

Bold move by Warriors to replace starting C in K Looney with JaMychal Green.
I think they want to drain as many 3's as they can and try to pull AD out of the dunker spot.
I am posting this because if Embiid is down low all the time, it's always challenging to match up the the Celtics all 5 out line up.
We need to change it up. If Embiid is not murdering their interior, we need to use small ball line up so we do not get beat by 3's.

The Reed/Biid pairing is nice in theory but its not something you try for the first time in the playoffs....especially with a diminished Biid lol.
Its a tough pill to swallow but this current roster just doesn't match up well with the Celtics yall. They have shooters at every position and long wings who can shoot and defend at the ready. Nobody in their rotation is a bad defender or small.
Our chances for winning rely on Biid, Harden, or Maxey having supa hot nights alongside their shooters having off nights....and even then it might cut it close lol.

This is paying dividend. Doc needs to be creative but he ain't that.
