Marcus Smart has no business being on the floor on a late game offensive possession. Not when you have timeouts.

THE OTHER TEAM WANTS MARCUS TO TAKE THE SHOT. EVERY HEAD COACH IN THE PLAYOFFS PLAYS US DEFENSIVELY FOR THAT!!! :banghead:

I was actually fine with no timeouts but just way too slow with it

I can't see how you retain him if we lose this series. Bud won a chip and the Bucks still sent him packing. What do we owe Joe?

I knew we would either drop this one or the one in boston. I just didn't know which. I got my answer.

Celtics lost because of offensive rebounds. Simple as that. Joe was still dumb though.

Gotta give it to Harden though, he was really clutch in this game. Hit the floater to force OT, then the gamewinning shot. Celtics are single-handedly changing the narrative around his playoff performances after Games 1 and 4 lol

Fire him and you have to pay him, but it doesn't count against the cap. The owners can eat that loss for approving such a terrible decision.

Except the 3 wasn't needed at either point, Taking the lowest percentage shot when you only need 2 points . :banghead:

The double no time out is just absolutely mind boggling. Their defense was set. We used no challenge all game. If you don’t want to stop a run with a TO, fine. This was crazy though.

Jaylen helping off harden is equally as bad. Awful.

We were given every chance in this one and did nothing with it.

Jaylen doubling was stupid. Us straight up electing to put JT on Embiid on the most crucial defensive possession was stupid. This basketball team is stupid

Yeah well there's a reason why smart is wide open both times.

Every opposing coach's dream ending to playoff games. It's been happening for about 5 playoff years and we still haven't realized it, or should I say the coaches haven't.

Why did no one else double Embiid on that last play? Its dumb for Jaylen to do it as Harden is one pass away. Giving up a 3 was your losing condition.

Why aren‘t they running two man action with the Jays? You‘re literally helping the Sixers play defense by shoving Jaylen in the corner.

I wanted to give Joe credit for upping the pace ib the 4th to take the lead, jeez was this bad. "Oh I dont use my TOs so I can save it for the last moments". You had two left each time and didnt bother for the last possession each quarter

I'm going to cool down tomorrow, but for now.

**** Joe, **** Doris, **** Embiid and **** this team for taking all the first three quarters off. They are not winning **** if they don't know how to step on the gas all 48 minutes.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Lots of emotional fans here.

I need to see the replay of that Harden three though, that’s what got us. Tatum getting switched on to Embiid, Brown doubling when Harden is in the corner, that was disastrous defense.

With 1:50 to go in Q4, the Cs had outscored the Sixers 22-8.

That means the Sixers outscored the Cs 7-2 over the final 1:50.

As for the very last possession -- if Joe doesn't want to call TOs in such situations for fear of defensive substitutions, then he should do a better job of coaching up his guys in clock management. I presume Tatum could have thrown an off-target pass at least half a second before he actually did if he'd realized the urgency of doing so.
