They point of a coach is to help them know what to execute, and Joe doesn’t know. Not even getting a shot off is inexcusable.

The coach doesn’t have to tell you don’t leave a dude with 39 pts open from 3 to double Embiid up 2. Or rebound the **** ball

The sixers won both of the close games. The celtics need to blow them out to save themselves from themselves.

Our comeback in the fourth quarter was one of my most enjoyable moments as a Celtics fan.

This one hurts. Sixers gave us their best effort with their backs up against the wall, and if we closed out the game after pulling off the comeback - would have been a shot to their gut.

Instead, series is tied and we're the ones who took a punch to the gut. If I'm an oddsmaker in Vegas, I don't know that the Celtics are still favored to win this series, Sixers' momentum trumps our home court advantage.

I didn't mind the lack of timeout end of regulation, was a tie game, objective was first and foremost to take the last shot of the possession, and worst case, we go to overtime. As an added bonus, we got off a good shot.

At the end of OT, the one point deficit put us in a much different situation, yet coach and team treated the situation as if there was no difference. And either we were improvising on that final play, or we decided to effectively run the same play we previously ran.

This team's situational awareness continues to be poor.

Not really sure what all the complaining is about with Joe etc other that some of you guys just don't like him and want to find reasons to confirm your existing bias. Joe pressing the right buttons and imploring them to find another level on defense was why we almost won. Calling a timeout at the end wouldn't have automatically made the ball go in the basket and we got a great look that was just a split second late.

Disappointing result but sometimes you can play well and the other team still scores one more point that you do. I'm ready for Game 6.

I'm sorry but Mazz didn't do anything. He's clearly not a motivator and this team defense is a product of Ime.
We also shouldn't have to climb up these deficits if the team playerd hard the 48minutes. They can do it, it's frustating they decide they won't. When they heads get into that space, they just don't allow any points at all.

What Mazz was supposed to do better than Ime was offense, and right now I'm completely unimpressed.

This was an OT game with Harden on a complete breakdown because of JB, Embiid complety gassed and you let 3 crucial plays go away with this horrible game planning. Two missed TO's plus putting the Cs on a horrible position out of a timeout.

We're playing with fire. I have no doubt they're going to destroy Phila in Game 5, and even if they don't they might still win game 6 out of the box like last year on the road two times. But you play too much with fire and you're gonna get burned.
Or worse, you're gonna get to the finals completely gassed and lose, which might feel even worse.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Should indeed have called a time-out and the players also should have shown more urgency to start something up. We were down, they behaved like it was a tied game where we had to do a buzzer beater. We could of even missed an early shot and play the foul game cause we had another timeout left.

When the score is tied you go for whatever you want. When you are down 1 you go for whatever you want..you just don’t run the **** clock down. What a joke. He had two timeouts. Could have drawn a play, missed, fouled, took another time out, another play to tie. Dude let the grenade blow on his hand while smiling at it. What a joke.

It's not about losing the series.

It's about not fixing the constant bull series of events that are bound to catch up in the finals. Like last year.

Celtics were way better than the warriors but warriors played like they belonged.

The coach‘s job is to get the team organized in clutch situations. Both last possessions were Tatum getting the switch and scrambling to make something happen. A TO would at least allow the team to gameplan some intitial actions to work the defense. I‘m begeinning to think Joe has no ATOs he can rely upon

This is far from the end, but an unnecssary blunder that happened last series too. Its not fair to Joe that he is thrust with such big expectations for a rookie coach, but this team is not in baby steps mode.

Yes, they do. It's literally what they do in timeouts in clutch situations especially.

The Smart shot at the end of regulation was a great look.

Joe has to call a TO on that second one, if only to preserve time to get into a set.

You need 1 point to win. Driving to the basket as clock expires is always the best and most proven play in basketball. You either get a close, high percentage shot or go to overtime. And you could get fouled.

As bad as Joe is this isn't all on him. Tatum no show to the first half, Boston missed 14 out of 15 shots at one point, they couldn't grab a rebound and for some reason Brown thought it was a good idea to double team Embiid

Teams take jumpers in that situation probably 80% of the time, because you can control the clock.
