I mean, it’s gonna be really tough to get a home victory in a hostile environment. Not sure if these guys are up for it

They already did it in Milwaukee last season.

Maybe giving Pritchard some run with some set plays could benefit us ... just saying

This. What’s the purpose of a coaching staff? And, no more casual players. Celtics play the game like it is the regular season.

I would blow this up tbh. It’s a cultural problem. And, absolutely fire the coach. He does nothing of value .

I have always felt that Smart is the weak link on the team preventing a championship. Nobody can convince me that Brogdon or White wouldn’t perform better in that role and get the ball to the two stars when it matters. Smart thinks he’s the second best player on the team and management seems to agree, so Jaylen will likely want out.

If we base it on history, Cs never won a chip without a star big man.

From Bill Russell to Cowens to McHale and Parish to KG, Cs always had that quality big man in every championship run.

It’s not JBs fault. If anyone has played anything this series it’s him. It’s Tatum, Smart, today Horford. And the coach. They are done.

This is the playoffs, I want to discuss what's going on and not have to go through PAGES of what was being thrown around. I gotta just let it slide even if it says game thread but turns into a name-calling trade thread. It's no longer entertainment it's draining. Add that to what the team is doing and I stepped out of line. I meant no harm, just wanted people to stick to criticism instead of what was actually going down. My fault, yall don't deserve that (most of you)!

I know explaining doesn't sound like an apology but I do mean it. I'll do better.

Congratulations on becoming a Mod, btw. Just learned today :)

How? The celtics will offer it and he'll take it or he won't.

If we flame out in this series as seems inevitable, do we really want to pay JB the supermax?

Not that he's the only problem but I think the pressure will be intense to make changes if the C's blow this.

Brogdon would be the most likely to be moved. $22.5 million per year and he isn't the piece to get you over the hump. Coming off 6th man of the year his trade value will never be higher.

Yeah, it's no one player's fault but JB and Marcus may get shipped out.

But how high is it really?

I do think moving one of our $20M guards and promoting PP might be smart.

I think doubling Embiid is a bad move at this point. Worst case scenario is when their whole team is eating along with embiid which makes the Sixers hard to guard. Just like that regular season game we lost to the Sixers when embiid dropped 50, the Sixers barely won at home without JB playing and Tatum playing like garbage. If embiid beats you so be it, but don’t let maxey, harden, Harris cook you or else it’s gonna be easy work.

I’ll root and hope but I think the NBA is done with the Celtics for now.

True.

Before going to OT in Game 4, JT drove and got doubled, so he passed it to a wide open Smart.

Smart missed the wide open 3 that could have won it for the Cs.

Opposing teams still leave Smart open at the 3pt line.

JT did his job, he found the open man, but Smart couldn't make the shot.

This was my hope all along. Single coverage of Embiid and lock down the other guys.

Brogdon is not the playmaker/passer Smart is at all. No court vision whatsoever. He’s a good shooter/scorer though. I’d be nice if we could combine their skillsets into one player

It's Tatum's fault, it's Brown's fault , it's Smarts fault, it's White's fault, it's Horford's fault, it's RW3's fault, it's Brogdon's fault, it's Mazzula's fault.

It's all them that's at fault!

Going super cold from three with Embid playing defense inside like that is really bad for a team that lives on 3's and close in shots.
