I think we are hoping beyond hope that we can win a championship with Dame, his salary, and the current assets and age of the team. That said, if we try to win with Dame, I think we need to go all in. And that might include trading Sharpe for the right deal.
It's interesting reading the opinions on Sharpe. For me, I'd certainly trade him for the right deal.
He is uber athletic and has shown signs of being able to shoot. But I honestly wonder about his basketball IQ.
What do you all think of his basketball IQ?
For me, if we get Scoot, that would tempt me to trade Dame and start the rebuild unless some amazing vet is available.

Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget that the state lives at the expense of everyone

Re: My Possible Unpopular Opinion on This Offseason
Sharpes BBIQ is not just high...it's ridiculous. Look at the ways he improved over the season. Look at all the guys with athletic gifts who are not able to play with force. Look at the way his defense improved. The way he plays... the guy just drips with star power and puts emense pressure on the rim and defense.
From Portland to Reno to Vegas to LA to SLC and on to HotLanta. Winning at life. Too Blessed to be Stressed

I agree iq is one of Sharpes brightest areas imo. Trading him now would be foolish.
Somewhere trying not to offend Texas Chuck.
Return to Portland Trail Blazers
