That 1st round 2017 playoff series didn't even reach Game 7.

Celtics won 4 straight against Jimmy and Chicago.

None
watch the press conference with our "coach"
He lost confidence in himself

"we had great looks"
"discipline"
"the little things"
"Al ended games all season"

The look on his face shows he doesn't know what to do and knows his time is up

Haven't trusted/believed all season. Why?

Because the offense was/is too one dimensional.

It was only a matter of time before an opponent came along and decided that they were going to take away the 3 point shot and force the Celtics to score in other ways.
Horford is basically useless in the paint, operating one on one, imo. Tatum is capable in the post but he doesn't like operating down there and they don't have a coach that carries enough gravitas with the players to make a guy like Tatum get in the post.
Last night, they had the Tatum/Rob PnR that was effective but either the coach or the players(maybe both) were not disciplined enough to keep doing it until Miami could prove they could stop it.

It's all back to the team from coaching on down being low on the basketball IQ scale. This team really begs for a disciplinarian type coach. Joe isn't it due to inexperience and the respect factor.

When the season ends, we'll find out if Brad is man enough to admit his mistake and fire Joe and make roster moves or if he wants the Celtics to be like a one legged duck in a pond, swimming in circles.

A poll would be nice here. Btw, no, not really anymore. Could happen, I just don't see it. They lack the mental aspect.

Talent wise they have the ability. Unfortunately their Top talent does not seem ready for the moment in close games and they do not have a coach that knows how to help them work through it. The talent gap is certainly big enough to come back down 0-2, I just do not trust the coaching, especially with this group.

Nah. And we might as well not bother with the regular season next season if this is our core. Homecourt doesn’t mean a thing to them. Just rest and scrape into the playoffs with whatever seed we get.

Boston's House of cards fell after they lost their second home game. Miami is better at home than Boston is on the road.

Anyone who truly believes that Boston is going to win is in denial or hasn't been watching this team all year.

Comeback is gonna be epic!

Let's just lose game 3 on purpose, so we can break that streak and the one for no team being down 0-3 ever winning a series.

You mean that series where Rondo was absolutely dominating Boston until he got hurt in game 2 and had to sit the rest of the series, where the great Fred Hoiberg was their coach and a washed Wade was their second best player?

Spo and this current heat team aren't that pathetic 2017 bulls team if you don't know the difference between those two teams now I'm not sure what to tell you.

We've come back from this before, it's nothing new guys. Relax. That being said, this team has issues that we need to absolutely 100% address offseason with some moves... if that means Smart or Brown has to go, so be it.

God help me but yes. We had the lead in both games and should have won both. I’m not absolving the players because they own a huge piece of the blame pie, but the main reason we’re losing so many close games and games at home is Joe. Spoelstra pushes all of the right buttons while Joe either doesnt know where the buttons are or pushes the wrong ones

Miami just won 2 on the road. We can do the same and even the series up.

These were both close games. A call here or a play there goes the other way and we're up 2-0.

It's not looking good. But I still believe.

2 ways to do this. Split in Miami. Go back home down 3-1. Win game 5 at home and come out fighting game 6 to take it back home to Boston. Or take both games in Miami to make it 2-2. I see the first scenario more likely. We are not winning 4 straight and I don’t think we are getting swept either. Regardless we’ve left ourselves no room for error and it’s well deserved. Most likely not winning the series either as they have not shown that they want to win this series. So 1 game at a time I guess

I'm emotionally detached already so I guess I can't believe because of that.

Silver lining is if we get swept or beaten in 5 it's going to be clear Mazz needs to be gone. We're not winning DEN or LAL in the Finals but if we get there maybe they give Joe another season and that is worse.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

I don't think these bunch of Celtics are quitters, like some of the Celtic fans here.

Fight like hell one last game.

Let's see what happens in Game 4 if the Cs win Game 3.

Brown, Smart and Al quit before your eyes. At home, in a must win game.

It's not about having leads in both games, it's about holding on to those leads.

Celtics are 0-4 in the playoffs, when games are decided by 4 points or less. They crumble in close games. They can't hold leads vs the Heat because the Heat keep coming and coming and Celtics players/coaches has no answers.
