Read on Twitter

Rob doesn’t shoot threes. Grant didn’t play in G1.

That’s just rough. Hard to win shooting that way esp if your offense is predicated on making/taking threes.

Smart already gave you the answer. He literally said there's nothing Joe can tell them in a timeout that they can't figure out on their own.

Just another quote undermining Joe from the players.
I've been hearing reports Horf was sitting in the coaches seat and Smart was drawing up plays. That's not good.

Player's are way too full of themselves.

This is the exact same thing as Irving saying "I feel like we don't need a coach"

Well Brad got fired because the player's had the power.

Now as a rookie GM he gave in and gave them a rookie HC who they walked right over.

This is the result.

The rot is the player's having power and not wanting to be coached. Nor wanting to stick in their lane of which Smart never plays to his ability level or his role on the team.

You can't win with Smart as your leader when his example on the court is a role player chucking all game long and refusing to set up Brown and Tatum if he happens to make 2 good plays in a row.

The rot is in the leadership. And therefore need to ship out some of the leaders, and you need to start with an iron fist at the top to regain control. So I guess that means Stevens has to be out too, I hear the Warriors are firing their GM, get that guy back in asap at our top.

Then get Nurse in this org or Monty asap. Tell all the other players to stfu or ship them out. They have no say.

I agree that the players shouldn't have any say in who becomes the next coach, but I don't think they hand picked someone they could walk all over. Tatum's favorite coaching story is Coach K calling him a soft little bitch from St Louis.

We saw it with Draymond and Klay in the Finals and now with Jimmy. When this team has someone going in their faces and running their mouths or generally exuding huge confidence, they tend to shrink rather than use it as motivation.

We can say all we want about Joe, but that’s a huge concern with this core should we decide to move forward with them regardless.

The worst part is a 1:1 assist to turnover ratio isn't even especially bad for him.

Did you watch Game 1? Horford did the timeout taunt first, taunting us for no reason, when you guys were up 8 points in Game 1.

It's not really humiliating, it's well deserved.

He's a flawed player and has been absolutely terrible this series. Boston needs to seriously consider if they want to pay him a supermax

Though many players in the NBA are way overpaid, just the idea of paying this man 300 million is comical to me. Yeah I know people say what's the alternative. My answer is to do your due diligence and find anything that remotely gives Boston Good "fits' and assets in return.

I haven't wasted my time with this team for two years because they are really boring to watch and its literally the same song and dance from the braintrust and their chosen future as it was years back. Jaylen is a limited low IQ player. Tatum has a talented skillset but does not have the dynamic playmaking that you need from your go to star and Smart has always been a baffling investment. There is a major flaw in thinking you can pretend a role player can match up with the leagues elite players and that you're going to win 4 out of 7 game series doing that but this whole Brad era has been marked by poor decision making up top whether it was Danny or Brad. They had every chip they could've ever needed to construct an odds on championship favorite but they are too busy analyzing "metrics" which silly people don't know are ALL derived from game observation, and are merely a very small portion of that observation which makes up the total picture that somehow doesn't seem to fit management objectives.

What I'm saying is the right people running this organization would have won at least one ring in this era if not more, with the glut of assets they've largely squandered. Not sure there's an actual answer anymore beside let some heads roll and pick a different direction. Wyc will have Brad running this team for another 30 years it seems. Sorry but after 10 years I just don't have faith that he understands how to win the big ones in this league. Oh and the Jays are soft af. How can you have confidence in your main guys knowing they are due to lay an egg at any time for no rhyme or reason.

Brown for Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent. Who says no?!

Kidding aside, been preaching all year depth is nothing if you don’t use it properly. It’s the style of play. And style of play is dictated by what your stars are capable AND willing to do. Of course, need a coach that commands respect to also make that happen.

At least I will get to “enjoy” watching two well coached and cohesive teams in the Finals.

I know you are being somewhat facetious here but I actually think the Denver and Miami finals will be a great one. The genius of Spoelstra vs the genius of Jokic. I think Miami is going to give Denver all they want. I think it has the potential for an alltime great series. Hopefully it delivers. I love watching basketball when it’s played correctly. It CAN be a beautiful sport.

I wasn’t kidding. I envy the way those two teams play. It’s gonna be a fun series.

Only reason I had enjoy in quotes is cos I wish one of the teams was my team. But that type of basketball won’t happen with this core. It just won’t.

Has there been a point this series where Tatum has got the ball inside the 3 point line? The offense is so damn predictable. No adjustments whatsoever. I knew this Mickey Mouse chucking 3 point offense wasn’t gonna last at some point.

Return to Boston Celtics
