Max on 98.5: Players and upper managament exchanging words in Miami

Post#1 » by sprash9802 » Tue May 23, 2023 1:28 pm

I'm paraphrasing, but Max just said the players and management had a confrontation in Miami and words were exchanged. The wheels have well and truly fallen off this wagon, boys!

Shame
We had a championship team talent wise
One bad decision by Brad led to this crumbling of the team

I personally feel like this is from Ime becoming the Rockets head coach, and them not getting a good explanation on what really happened.

If true, my respect for this group of players continues to decline. I didn’t realise it was management out there getting their pants pulled down by a play-in team.

The reports keep showing how mentally weak the players are.

I think everyone on the team knows what Udoka did, I just don't think they care.

Sprash is paraphrasing, I think maybe we should wait to find out exactly what was said lol

But if true, this probably needed to happen sooner, better now than never.

True
But still Brad appointed Joe and no assistants. He could have done better
He thought he was playin 3D chess with the league while he was actually playing with play dough

I thought I remember reading they were trying for vet assistants but none were available. It was like 3 days before training camp. Everyone who wanted a job had one.

right? I don't know who else it could be. Mike Zarren? Is Austin Ainge still employed by the Celtics?

I wonder what the words were about -- I can't imagine Brad telling the guys they're playing like ****, but I can imagine players complaining about Ime if reports are to be believed.

On that note, seems like Ime **** a lot more than a staffer, he really **** the whole franchise for a year or two here.

It's been mentioned that during the 2nd Half of the game, Wyc told Mazzulla to pull the starters and Joe curtly replied,
"I am!" And then pulled the starters. So, perhaps Wyc was involved in the locker room melee...

Looked it up, that was during game 7 in Philly. 4th quarter, Wyc wanted the starters out with the game in hand. Don't think that would carry over to this. If anything it means Mazulla might be more likely to be fired if him and Wyc are going at it in any way

Oh no, not exchanging words! The horror! lol
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
