Game 6 will be the season for the Heat, much like it was for us. Just can't see them winning game 5, but the Celtics strangely play better on the road.

What part would be satire?

Jimmy Butler and AI left everything on the floor, carried teams, made clutch shots. Do y'all not remember 2001?

AI was flawed af, but nobody questioned his heart on the court.

No "Joel has 1 rebound at the half of Game 7" performances, you know.

You were one of the biggest anti Jimmy guys at the start of FA in 2019 lol

I mean, maybe since then you admitted you were wrong and I missed it, but Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I wasn't "anti Jimmy", I didn't think his contract would age well and I was still hopeful that Ben Simmons would learn how to shoot.

And I thought Joel would grow into a leader.

A lot has changed.

Man. This really was the year for a Jokic-Embiid Finals. Compared to elite teams in past years, neither Miami nor Boston is all that impressive.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker

Gabe Vincent out tonight. If Celtics win tonight, things get interesting. Massive pressure shifts to Miami for a game 6.

I went online yesterday to bet the Celtics to win the series and found the odds surprisingly at only +214 so decided against it. I do think the Celtics will win the series however. The Celtics are driven to return to the championship series and there is a natural complacency for a team that can lose two more times and still win the series, as well as a natural drivenness for a team with a very strong longer-term goal that currently has its back against the wall. I think they'll win tonight, game 6 in Miami will look very much like game 4, and they'll then win game 7 at home.

Trust me, Embiid was the first that didn't want that finals to happen, he knows Jokic is much better than him, he has always known this, so it's better if he can avoid him to save embarrassment.

The dog in Butler and how it influences the Heat would beat the Sixers, certainly, but the Celtics have players in central roles of that ilk as well.

Regardless of the series outcome, the real winner will be Ferry Avenue.

The Celtics have no dogs tho. Draymond straight up punked them in the Finals last year. Tatum had zero 4th quarter points in the first 3 games against Miami. Jaylen Brown sh*ts his pants any time he puts the ball on the floor.

Jimmy Butler himself score 16 measly points on 35% shooting in our famous game 7 against Toronto & only 4 rebounds! He got outplayed by Tobias Harris & JJ Redick in that game! Is this your king?!

Again the distinction between effort/drive and production. "Dogs" vary from game to game in terms of production but never vary in terms of drive and effort. At no point in this series have the Celtics' prime movers exhibited less than maximal drive and effort. Marcus Smart's pronouncement "don't let us get one" before game 4 epitomizes the drive of the central players on that team. They're highly driven and they'll be the first team in NBA history to win a series down 0-3.

Imagine James Harden producing a quote like "don't let us get one." Tough to imagine, I know.

If Miami loses tonight I think we do see history. The pressure will be so high for them to win game 6, just like it was for us when we froze.

It's the perfect storm for this to happen. With the talent disparity on top of the injuries for Miami.
