Yup, same wrist he has surgery on. And same wrist that Bam fell on in game 1.

At least it's not his shooting hand, but the guide hand is still important to making your shots. And obviously, you need to be able to handle the ball with both hands..

Then here's Malcolm:

Legacy game. Question is will it be one for
Butler or Tatum.

Expecting both teams to be at their best tonight. Which gives me confidence because the Celtics' best is better than the Heat's best.

I knew Brogdon was playing terribly but I didn't even realize he had 2 points in the last three games. He's just a non factor then, might as well sit him and hope he gets better.

Exactly. If he's just sitting there, watching. Not working out, with his elbow in a brace. Just sit him. Get him more treatment and hope he can play in game 7.

Give Hauser or Prichard 5 mins in each half tonight instead..

The Brogdan injury is why you want to put trans away as fast as possible to avoid extra ware and tare. We just lost the 6 th man of the year .

Such a tough game tonight. Cannot afford a slow start. Take their best punch early.

As you know, I am an endocrinologist, very far from an orthopod sports medicine doc.
But torn tendons do not heal overnight - & his high usage shooting arm to boot.
Had to be something in that one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA & the 6MOTY does not suddenly forget how to shoot.
A million years ago, Hondo played a Finals game left handed & Larry occasionally shot left handed “for fun” - but Brog is neither of these legends.

We will have to overcome without him. :banghead: :banghead:
He is such a valuable piece.

Aside: One of the alleged (some recent studies have injected a bit of doubt) adverse effects of the fluoroquinolone antibiotics like Cipro is a propensity to tendon rupture like the achilles & literally anywhere and even aortic aneurysms (because the connective tissue we are made of may become damaged). Wonder if he recently received one of these - but his injury is more than likely purely due to unlucky basketball-related trauma.

Sorry she is not feeling well, but it is because she loves you & she wants you to be happy.

I have trust in Tatum when he has his back against the wall. He's going to have another big game. For me, the x-factor here is Grant Williams, especially since Malcolm Brogdon is most likely going to be out. We're going to need Milwaukee G7 Grant Williams tonight.

We are all **** lunatics to care this much - but it is what is. LOL.

My eldest daughter: “Why would anyone in their right mind care about a bunch of rich tall guys putting a ball in a hole?”

My response: “Why did you drag me to every single clothing store for women in MONTREAL when we made a Dad-daughter trip a few years ago?”

No complaining about the refs tonight. This is a Miami home game so they are expected to get some Miami home cooking. C’s are going to have to win 8 on 5 as they should for putting themselves in this situation. But seeing as Denver was able to overcome the refs in Game 4 at Staples, the same expectations apply here.

Losing games actually don't bother me much as long as the team plays with energy. And by that I mean; playing defense, not giving up offensive rebounds, fighting for 50/50 balls, etc. The Heat will fight tonight and fight hard. I am not sure which version of this bipolar Celtics team will show up though.

Weather the early storm. Miami’s going to throw some haymakers and then some. If we can weather it and not fold then we can be in good shape when they tire and maybe even doubt if they have enough to put it away. We can not have a repeat of Game 3 where it all became too much for us.

If Jaylen has issues with his hands, he REALLY shouldn't be driving into traffic.

The only times anybody ever says that Jaylen actually has good handle is when they're admiring the speed (which is derived from power) of the sideways dribbles in his crossover moves. But it seems his left wrist is injured, and not that long ago he kept bleeding with his right hand. So probably he shouldn't rely on such moves, at least not in contexts where accuracy and control are called for. (If he's resetting for a mid-range jumper or something, that's different ...)

I get that one might think the opposite -- if your shooting is off, then drive and dunk instead. And if he literally can dunk or get a lightly contested transition layup, great. But I trust Jaylen to shoot well after enough days of practice to adjust to a particular injury more than I trust his injury-impaired dribbling.

I am usually very active. On saturdays, Yet it seems like i'm doing a countdown every few minutes.. And I have already heard from over two dozen people how about tonight's game....

Truly historic in my opinion.

It sucks to be in EU for this one. I’m so excited yet have to go to bed cause I need to work tomorrow. Gonna rewatch the game without knowing the results in exactly 9 hours. Go for it tonight guys!

C’s UP!
