Core is such a bunch of wasted talent. Smart Grant JB and Joe gotta go. But they won't since management is spineless.
I'd do Young and Hunter for Smart and Brogdon right now. No chance of that happening though.
Lol surely that trade will happen

Maybe people from the Celtics organization but anyone else can see that is not the issue. This is those Toronto teams with Lowry and DeRozan who always played dumb in the playoffs. They need to be broken up. And coach needs to be fired.

Joe says the Celtics didn't fold.
How can we take this guy seriously when he isn't honest with what he's seeing.

What Joe is not getting -- a talented team like the Cs shouldn't be in a position where they have to make a choice between folding or not. They keep digging themselves a hole, keep **** around, and only show a pulse when their backs are against the wall.

You have to be kidding me. Is Joe really dumb enough to believe a team that shoots this many threes is going to win a title???? This team shot 20 freaking percent the last two games from three and this isn't a problem?

How sad is it that I was wondering if winning this game was even worth it because we would likely keep him if we did? I was beyond convinced we were losing to the nuggets so I was wondering if it was best to even win this game.
Even if we won this game by 20 I was picking the nuggets in 5 or 6. At least now we have an excuse to can Joe.
Not showing up at Home is a core trait not the Coach fault. They had the same issues last postseason.

Re: Rollercoaster Celts Grind to a Halt :( ECF Game 7 Loss vs MIA 5/29 (MIA wins 4-3)
I feel that we still need to run it back, even with Brown resigned to his max. But some player decisions need to be made:
Horford needs to play less minutes, and come off the bench, but still needs to be here.
Brogdon can't help being hurt, but has been extremely good all season, and certainly needs to come back.
Smart needs to quit searching for the highlight play and make better decisions. Go back and look at the replays. EVERYTIME Smart makes a stupid play on offense, he compounds it by making an even stupider play on defense the very next possession.
Browm needs to stop worrying about his "platform for social justice" and learn how to frigging dribble. He needs to remember that basketball needs to come first, or he won't have a platform to stand on for very long.
And some coaching decisions need to be made:
Overall, I feel that the Celtics need to get a stronger coach that will hold players accountable for screwing up doing the same thing over and over. Bam had 3 fouls in the first half, and not a single play was run to try and pick up more fouls on him. Yet when a heat player drove the paint, 2 players would rotate to Bam and give up a layup to the guard. That is on the coach 100%. Mazula was in way over his head, but he won't be fired. They need to bring in an asst coach, that could be next in line to take over the team if Mazula doesn't improve and have him on a very short leash.
If I were Brad, you HAVE to at least explore what is out there for Brown and Smart. I don't know how the owners sign off on giving Brown the max after a performance like this at this time of year, but they almost have to be able to trade him when the time comes. Brown is still just 26 and will probably get his max deal. But I feel that Brown has one more year to get his crap together, or he will be out of here.
Smart is going to be 30, and I do think it is time to move on from him. If he is the heart and soul of this team, then we will never win a chip with him as out starting point guard. With his rep as a flopper, he will never get a fair ref's whistle, and that hurts the team. He does a good job when he is setting up players with the smart pass, but he wants to play hero ball from the point guard position, and that is not his game. He should shoot the three off of swing passes from paint drives or post up smaller guards.

When news breaks that joe has been fired or is, "stepping down" it will almost feel like we won a championship.

This team lives and dies by the 3. How long have we been saying that? They where woeful to start the game. Too man chuckers . Imagine if we had a great scorer down load. Must be nice .
