I'm having my doubts that we'll make the Finals, let alone beat the Nuggets. Hope they prove me wrong.

Well I was starting to believe until the first quarter where I realized this team was cooked.

Not anymore. Bobby Marks just posted a video as if he was told by Brad that they'll keep both Mazzulla and Brown. That to me is no commitment to winning, so I don't think I believe in this team anymore.

I believe.

I believe this group will continue to fail year after year after year whether they catch breaks or seemingly have a dream path to the Finals or not. As soon as you start to expect anything out of this team, they let you down. Barely get through Philly with Embiid on one knee, fall down 0-3 to an 8th seed. Climb back into the series with a home game to get to the Finals, get blown the **** out in humiliating fashion in Game 7. Have a chance to go up 3-1 in the NBA Finals with a lead at home down the stretch, choke the game away and get smoked in the following two games.

Don't want to hear **** about how this team "bounces back" when they don't win a title. They put themselves in situations they have no business being in and wanna pat themselves on the back for "bouncing back" Bounce back to do what? Disappoint your fans again? Smart will be 30 this time next year. Brown will be going on 28, JT 26. With more Playoff experience than dudes who have played 15 years. This is who they are. They aren't winning us a title.

I just hope the find a way to get smarter next year. It's painful for me watching this group play so boneheaded. Truth is I have no idea how they achieve that, but "stand pat comfortably & confidently" does not strike me as the proper leadership posture towards this group. If that truly is their stance... that stinks because watching this team play like bozos takes the life out of me sometimes. The old Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley teams at least executed and played to the best of their capability the majority of the time.

That's pretty much where I'm at. The pieces don't fit for whatever reason. Brown doesn't take care of the ball or pass the ball and Tatum wants to dribble out the first 15 seconds of every shot clock.

I'm really not looking forward to next year. They may have to take a step back before they can move forward.

Now that preseason has finished, I am looking forwards to the 2023-24 season with confidence.
I'm sure Coach Joe can put some urgency into the team once the real games start.

I believe… that the Nuggets will do better than the Cs against the Heat. Please don’t let Riley, Butler, and their scrubs win.

Flame me to the hot place down below, but I’m rooting for the Heat. Let them get it out for their dang systems. I hate the “Heat culture” thing, but Jimmy is awesome and honestly so are Gabe and Caleb. Jokic and Murray play beautifully, but I’m partial to the grind. And maybe the grind is less intense next year if they just win now and get it over with.

Note: this is all predicated on Pat Riley and Tyler Herro somehow not being able to enjoy a single second of it. Not sure how, but it must be so. Otherwise, Jimmy, et al can get bent.

I'm rooting for the Nugs, partly because I can relate more to nugget culture than any of that stuff out of Miami, and partly because I think it's cool for a team who's never been to the Finals to have a chance at their first. Also I can't believe preventing Tyler Herro and his horrible palm angels crap being on tv wasn't enough motivation for us to play harder. I can't believe I rooted for him at Kentucky. He might be the most punchable face in the entire league.
