GAME 1 OF THE NBA FINALS!!! HEATS V. MCCHICKENS, JUNE 1ST, 2023, 8:30PM

We just came off a grueling 7 game series w/ just 2 days rest going into this altitude. Nugs been resting for 10days. Even the best of teams would struggle. Underdogs in game1 in nba history have only won 2 times since 2005 & 4 times since 1996. keep that in mind when you start to lose your minds here.

People seriously need to understand this gm1 situation. Only TWO teams have won gm1 as an underdog, TWO!!

I'll take an 11pt loss any day in spite of 40% shooting & only having 2FT's for the entire game. Low shooting % is indicative of tired legs, understandable after a 7gm series. In spite of that we still shot more 3s than them. Adjustments will be made. We get 2 days rest. I have no doubt we'll come out shooting better 2nd game. Denver record not as good when both teams have same amount of rest.

I'm not afraid of this Denver team like many here are. I wasn't impressed w/ what i saw tonight. Did you see how they played when Jokic came off? THey looked lost. They're depth is not what they put it out to be.

We need to tighten up in A LOT of areas or this will be a sweep. None of that moral victory crap.

I complain about Spo but if the Lakers had him that’s a toss up for a series. They were poorly coached with the most egregious example being playing Jamal Murray like he couldn’t shoot. Denver is not the unstoppable juggernaut some people are acting like they are. We can absolutely beat them.

Didn’t like anything I saw tonight. Spo gives Strus way too long a leash, Jimmy continues to let every guy out play him. Jimmy was a non factor in an NBA Finals game. Zero fts, zero aggressiveness. If this is the Jimmy that’s going to show up then we stand zero chance. Highsmith played well, but I’m not going to overreact with him, Gabe was semi ok. Lowry was ok if he made minimum money but that’s just another max player playin “ok” isn’t going to cut it.

Bam, was the lone bright spot but I’m don’t like our chances if he’s our leading scorer. I don’t have a lot of faith in Herro and feel like we play much better without him, but with Strus playing this bad Herro can’t be any worse. If I had to call it, gun to the head who wins, I say Nuggets in 5. Just outplayed from start to finish, and they have also outplayed us going on about 10 years str8 now.

In the end, I’m just happy Boston doesn’t go into the history books, F Boston. There’s stil like a 5% chance we win, but unfortunately it looks like it would take injuries for us to get it. On to game 2, hopefully we steal one and can carry some momentum from there. Going down 0-2 vs this much fire power will result in a bleak outcome

Yeah, there's zero downside to Herro if the alternatives are playing like this. At the very least it would give Spo a fuller toolkit to make use of.
