19-63 the very next year. He wasted 7 years without a legit 2nd fiddle because it’s the Cleveland Cavaliers with one of the worst run front offices at the time, starting with the owner and down. No FA was going there and it most definitely was not because of commitment issues until it was too late and clear the very best they can offer was a 37 yr old Shaq. Where are you reading this other non-sense from honestly or is it an agenda?

Imagine legitimately thinking those Cleveland teams were built well around him, lol. And nobody wanted to go there because it is ****ing Cleveland.

They couldn't get star players because they were Cleveland and they made some pretty short-sighted cap decisions.
Those teams were.only "good" because of LeBron...
Those Cleveland weren’t just good, they were great. Which is why they had the best record in the league for LeBron’s last 2 years there and were championship favorites. They were great defensively and 3 point shooting. Which is exactly what LeBron needs. That roster was built around him. And like I said before the only reason they weren’t able to get another star player is because LeBron refused to say if he was staying in Cleveland long term. That’s why the deal for prime Amare didn’t go through. He asked LeBron if he was staying and LeBron wouldn’t tell him. And the reasons for their bad record after LeBron left were 1) injuries and 2) because you took out a big piece of the puzzle and didn’t replace him. That team would have been great without injuries and if you replaced LeBron with an all star small forward or shooting guard
Yes they were great with the entire offense running through one of the most heliocentric offenses I’ve ever seen in my life. One man army with guys spotting up in the corner. With Mr. Potato Head Mike Brown not knowing what an actual play is. I agree that’s what LeBron needs, 3+D from scrubs. At the minimum. The bare minimum for his ball dominant play to work. That’s how much he carried these bums to finals they had no business being in. You don’t think a prime Shaq or the most elite 3&D player Klay (one of the greatest shooters of all time) could’ve helped him out? Or a dpoy (dray)? Or the second best player after you (KD)? Or a two-way winner like Pippen? Anyone to give him some rest with the entire offense falling apart when he’s out on the bench? Regular season standings are not indicators for playoff or championship success to the 100%. Come playoffs, you need a robin at the very least and he was never given one during the entirety of his first stint in Cleveland. End of story. I do agree that the Varejao injury put the last nail in the coffin w Antawn and Mo lagging in the following yr. But they don’t compare to other construct-around-1 superstar rosters like the mavs for example. Not even close.
Kidd, Marion, Dpoy Chandler, Caron Butler, Jet, Barea, Stevenson, Peja >>> Mo, Ant, Delonte, Z, Varejao, A. Parker, Gibson, 37 yr Shaq.
And you fault him for not wanting to stay and rot in Cleveland?

Also, about Amar’e:
https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/399655-amare-stoudemire-the-one-that-got-away-for-the-cleveland-cavaliers.amp.htmlWhat you’re claiming are just rumors, which are rampant before free agency. The cavs were the ones to decline the trade because they wanted to keep Hickson. Please read that article, it highlights exactly everything I’ve said above, about the incompetency that LeBron walked away from.
