People here get on Malone but I can appreciate the way he’s managed his team going back to the WCF. That last sentence is what this group has been falling victim to ever since they played with their food and didnt close out Boston early.

He’s doing a good job of riding a generational specimen and deriving confidence from Jokic that he can channel into the rest of the team. It makes him come off as an absolute prick tho and his fall from grace will come at some point

This team never looked the same after game 3 against Boston. All the energy was just zapped from this team. They did smack Boston in game 7 but Boston is mentally weaker. The team has constructed is likely always going to run out of gas. We have to do so much more than everyone else all of the time. The more talented teams don't have to play at 110% to win.

Malone’s dna written all over his team’s post game pressers. They watched the Boston series and he gave those boys their marching orders that they were not to provide any bulletin board material.

They rested, watched every one of our games, studied us & game planned while we were still @war. The luxury they had. While we fought adversity every step of the way w/ injuries & facing top 2 teams in the league. Credit to them, they did their job & capitalized off them.

Does a healthy Jimmy realistically even exist in the finals considering the way he plays and how many games it take to get here. At this point this is who he is. Nothing wrong with being 0-2 in the finals and losing to Lebron and Jokic.

We need to do everything we can to lighten the load on Jimmy on offense next year. We need to make some serious trades if possible. We've never been shy about being win now. Now is the time to roll the dice. If we can get Jimmy with gas and not having to be Superman for the first 3 series (well 2 anyways) then we'll be in much better shape. Too much responsibility on him. I know he's our star but he's not that guy who could do that an entire playoff run. Bam is never going to be that guy. We desperately need a #1 option on offense.

The positive here is Bam is growing, building that well needed toughness, gaining more experience carrying an offensive load. He is well playoff & battle tested. WHEN we make another Finals there will be no more excuses for Bam, not the 3rd time. No more missed bunnies, hesitations and shrinkage.

I think he's twisted his ankle in all the bubble finals, ECF vs Boston last season and now these PO's. I don't know why this stubborn, macho man doesn't just wear a damn ankle brace. He'd actually be smart to wear one considering his history. Curry did it after so many ankle sprains.

This is where landing another scorer can help alleviate the load off Jimmy. A Lillard or Beal. Like, i'm over Beal but we need a scorer. It's all we've been missing.
